I ended up going for EL-S on my forehand and changing to FX-S on the backhand. I’m struggling to get used to the changes at the moment (my new sheet of fx-s feels much harder than the previous sheet)- but hopefully after a good session tonight it will feel better.

Hey guys sorry to reopen the thread, but I went to the local shop yesterday to have a look and EL-S is almost half the price of 05fx.... is 05/05fx really that much better, or are we just paying for the butterfly marketing machine?

As there’s plenty of talk about mark V and striver in this thread- I was wondering how they compare if speed glued against the modern tensor or Tenergy rubbers?

How does the amount of time spent playing effect how long the booster lasts?

Favourites- Samsonov, XX, Niwa, ML, and Falck Most disliked- Screamoto (I actually like the way he plays, just can’t stand the screaming)

Following- I’m also considering purchasing a ZLF blade when I’m ready to upgrade from an all wood blade. From what I’ve read ZLF blades seem like they have the smallest step up in speed, whilst also gaining the benefits of a larger sweet spot because of the ZLF fibre. Not sure if I’m correct...

Thanks for all the advice guys- I’m leaning towards Tenergy 05-fx at the moment, it seems like it’s a bit harder than my FX-S, whilst not giving up any spin. I’m also considering upgrading my blade too, should I get used to my new rubbers first and then upgrade my blade in a couple of months...

I definitely want to be using Tenergy or something equivalent eventually, I’m just slightly worried about going from such a soft rubber straight to tenergy... maybe 05 fx would be ideal to bridge the gap?

Yeah, I really enjoy playing with boosted H3- however I’m a big guy and I find myself out of position more often than most players. From my experience a softer euro or Jap rubber plays much better in situations where you can’t get into the correct position.

Andro Temper tech off- is good. I’ve really enjoyed playing with this blade. It might not be as fast as the blade you currently use, but it has great feeling, decent speed, and if you look around you can find some good prices
