So, what’s the most reliable store in the EY – or specific seller on AliExpress – for Booster? Thinking of simply Haifu Seamoon, unless advised differently here.
Interesting point, thanks for elaborating. As I wrote above, H3N felt very instructive on the get-go, and not really lacking in speed or control, even if I had to work very hard for it. Maybe HAL would have been the even better fit, have you had any experience with this combo?
Thanks all for interesting viewpoints! I will not post any videos (and this thread ist not about me specifically). However I am glad if I initiated an interesting discussion.
I will say this though: I just came back from 3 hours of training with my newly glued PPP+H3N and I haven’t had more...
Question about boosting and glueing: I will, as recommended in the article that is the fundament of this thread, try the H3N without booster first. I will use Nittaku Finezip. Upon later boosting, shall I try to completely remove the glue from the rubber first? I have read several articles...
Thanks a lot. I’ll do as you say. I don’t have any booster, so will glue it without first while I’m waiting for delivery? This would also be in accordance with your article “First time user: I strongly recommend playing with it unboosted first to understand the rubber”. I’m holding a lot...
@victormanriquey – another splendid article!
I’ll continue my question here since it might be of broader interest.
I’m now ready to dip my toes into H3N territory. The plan is to use Nuzn 45 on BH and H3N Provincial Orange on FH.
TL;DR: Slap the H3N on the PPP for max feel and learning, or on...
Again and again, you post some of internet’s most reliable and pleasurable reviews, keep it up!
The two-gear characteristic – do you think it is a bug or a feature? It sounds a lot like how many describe the Xiom Jekyll & Hyde V 47.5, for example here – have you tried this?
PS. One feedback on...
OT: Your impressions of the Vega China VM [XVC] sounds very intriguing. Since many (most prominently and cunningly: @victormanriquey) is very much in favour of using H3N as a intermediate FH rubber for developing technique, I guess XVC would be that as well? It goes a bit against the (older?)...
Having read up a bit on balsa, the opinions seem very divided. Is it true that it is more non-linear and less predictable? Or would that be nullified by the carbon? And it seems to be regarded a very stiff material, which could seem like the opposite of what a “soft carbon” blade should be...
So, this instagram post popped up, announcing a softer carbon blade from Stiga.
Basically a very light 5+2 blade with balsa core and Koto top layer. Now, it sounds like he’s saying outer carbon, but I suspect he means just outside the core. Because, comparing the normal Cybershape Carbon and...
