  1. Penhold switching rubbers

I do have some experience with the Pro XT but its tackiness doesn't last very long. Some people have said that the Skyline 3 is faster than H3N. Its probably a very slight difference I wouldn't even notice though.
  2. Rubbers for a beginner penholder?

I started out with KTL Rapid Speed and KTL Pro XT. Both are not that expensive but a bit more expensive than the DHS PF4 you are using, at least when I compared them on TT11. KTL also has a bunch of other rubbers in the same price range. There's also Palio's AK47 rubbers that might interest you...
  3. Penhold switching rubbers

Yes H3N seems like the best option. I doubt it would feel too slow since I am not that experienced with very fast rubbers. Rozena seems quite expensive, I'm mostly looking at rubbers in the 20-30€ price range. My current setup weighs 175 grams, but it shouldn't be a problem if it gains like 10...
  4. Penhold switching rubbers

So a few months ago I got into table tennis and also bought my first custom setup (Yasaka Ma Lin Extra Offensive penhold, KTL Rapid Speed for FH and KTL Pro XT for BH). I've been enjoying the game but I would like to switch my forehand rubber for something more tacky at some point to get more...
  5. Just curious how many Penholders are on TTD?

Chinese penholder here. I've been playing for about 3 months at a local club, never played Table Tennis before that. I've been making pretty good progress. I play with RPB so could call it ''modern'' penhold.
  6. Beginner penhold racket

Alright, thank you! I think I'll get the Pro XT then for my RPB to get better spin and more control over the ball. Yeah I doubt the Stiga Bat is very comparable to the setup I'm getting. The blade alone costs 10€ more during this discount than the 2-star premade bat.
  7. Beginner penhold racket

https://revspin.net/rubber/lkt-pro-xt.html A third rubber that looks interesting.
  8. Beginner penhold racket

I am trying to learn the RPB as well but currently I'm just inconsistent, I hit the ball into the net most of the time. When I get the angle right I can hit the table pretty well. But I do have cases where the ball goes over the table as well. I've got a few rubbers that seem interesting, in...
  9. Beginner penhold racket

Yeah I figured as much that it might take a little bit more getting used to. I think I'll go with the Ma Lin blade since it seems like better value for money since its on sale. Regular price is 49,99€ and I can get it for 37,43€ currently.
  10. Beginner penhold racket

So guys I want to buy a racket from the TT11 website and I am not sure which one to get. I am between the Yasaka Sweden Classic Ch.Pen and the Yasaka Ma Lin Extra Offensive Ch.Pen. Would the latter be too fast for someone less experienced? For the rubbers as suggested I'd buy LKT Rapid Speed for...
  11. Beginner penhold racket

I'll turn down the offer, but thanks anyway.
  12. Beginner penhold racket

I'll still probably order from TT11 since they are located in Estonia, so closer to me. Would mean less delivery time.
  13. Beginner penhold racket

Yeah, I think I'll put a bit of extra money into the racket. I'll probably buy it from TT11. Even if I'll play just as a hobby I won't mind using the money for a longer lasting racket.
  14. Beginner penhold racket

Alright, thanks for the clarification. I'm still new to this stuff.
  15. Beginner penhold racket

Hey thanks for the suggestion! I'll take a look at that. I don't mind assembling my own racket if it doesn't take too much money. If I happen to get a cheap penhold bat and it lasts me for like a year I'd probably invest into a better quality one then, since I'd be sure of playing for longer at...
