  1. Speed of swing and switching with a head heavy set up

Put a lighter rubber on one side. Something like nittaku fast arc c1. 43gr cut to 158mm height of blade (same as korbel). That and some tape on the handle. You’ll be amazed at the change. That changes only one variable and will really help your shoulder, wrist, elbow. Good luck. Rakza 7 is...
  2. Tenergy Combination for Allwood Allround Blade

Our juniors all use rozena on primorac off- fantastic combination
  3. How important is serve variation?

I think it’s really important to develop serves which have small variation with the same movement. Even at an intermediate level this can cause lots of problems.
  4. Table tennis sparing and coaching

I had the pleasure of training with Radoslav for a week whilst in London recently. We trained at Fusion TT in South London. Apart from the fact that I had great fun, I also really enjoyed the way he broke down my technique into easy to understand movements, all designed to make my power...

  6. Blade and Rubber recommendations for Intermediate Offensive player?

Put joola rhyzm 425 on both sides. I would always go with max, but 2mm also good. Very spinny, good power, not so spin sensitive and really easy to use. All our juniors are started on those. You can use them up to a really high level. Have fun!
  7. Blade and Rubber recommendations for Intermediate Offensive player?

That sounds perfect. Don’t overthink it any more and don’t change for at least one year. Have fun!
  8. Appelgren Allplay upgrade

Exactly. Both are good I played European version. Really don’t worry which one. If you want to spend more on a blade get an osp virtuoso ;) Seriously though, the Japanese version is meant to have a higher quality of wood veneer for the Japanese market. The versions I have seen are a lot heavier...
  9. Appelgren Allplay upgrade

the newer samsonov alphas have a larger head than the older (discontinued) compact sized ones. the handle in flared is very thin and the blade more head heavy than for instance the appelgren or a primorac off- (i've played with all three) the reason i said primorac off- is because i spent a...
  10. Appelgren Allplay upgrade

    Primorac off-
  11. Accidently broke the blade, need new one

From what I’ve read the acoustic may be head heavy. The osp most definitely is not. I’ve played osp for a year and not only does it feel amazing, I get lots of interested comments when playing matches ;)
  12. In depth comparision of OSP Virtuoso- and Virtuoso+

because the OP did such a great job, i wanted to add a few comments. i've played this season so far firstly with a FL virtuoso off- (90 gr) with el-s 1.9/2mm both sides. then the last month with SQST virtuoso off- (88 gr) with nittaku fastarc c-1 max both sides. the FL was 2 gr heavier than the...
  13. In depth comparision of OSP Virtuoso- and Virtuoso+

thank you anchor schmidt, that is a really useful post! especially the comments about handles and balance. i have two virtuoso- in flared and have always wondered about the sqst handles, because i enjoy playing with straight too; but i also play with heavy evolution rubbers, so perhaps i'll...
