  1. WTT India? Best of luck to WTT...

Hope you have a nice stay, Trivandrum is a nice place. If you haven't been before, do visit the beaches near it (Kovalam/Varkala/Shangumugham). You might see some elephant poop on the roads though...
  2. A range of new DHS blades - including Q968 and S968

Great news! I recently hit with a club mate's Long 5 that had T05 on both sides. To me, the Tenergy felt like a Tenergy - grippy, blazing fast, nothing unusual. On the BH it felt a bit mushy, but the guy said he needs to re-glue the BH rubber so it could be because of that... I also have a...
  3. A range of new DHS blades - including Q968 and S968

Haha, true. And the wait time quickly becomes agonizing...
  4. A range of new DHS blades - including Q968 and S968

Hope to read you guys' impressions/reviews on both the Q & S968 soon... I just placed an import order for the Xiom TMXi Pro version (couldn't resist after hearing good things about it :p) - now pondering what rubbers to pair it with... I guess it's the season of oversized innerforce W968 clones! :D
  5. Your Top 5 of blades

Yeah, the Rosewood is exceptional for close to the table looping, especially with hard Chinese rubbers. Hmm, don't tempt me, I'm a hopeless EJ! Unfortunately (or fortunately - from my wallet's POV), it's almost never available here, and trying to import it pushes the cost almost up to that of a...
  6. Your Top 5 of blades

Mine in no particular order would be: Nittaku Septear Stiga Rosewood NCT V Stiga Clipper Wood Yasaka Ma Lin Extra Offensive DHS 506 (Yeah, I'm a sucker for all-wood blades.)
  7. TTD Team vs INDIA | ft OLYMPIC LEGEND!

He's a legend, one of the biggest inspirations for folks who play ping pong here (at least for my generation). Such a shame that he still doesn't have any signature blade out in his name on the market...
  8. Modern "classic" rubbers

To add to what others have suggested, you can check out the Sanwei Gear Hyper. I've used this rubber extensively until it went out of stock in my country, and I think it might be what you're looking for. It's got moderate catapult, but unlike classic Chinese rubbers, it's much easier to play...
  9. Weird pattern on hinoki surface of Nittaku Septear... also black lens tag?...

Doesn't she?... In fact, so much so that I've asked my dealer to get me another one of these 'fish scale' Septears :D
  10. Weird pattern on hinoki surface of Nittaku Septear... also black lens tag?...

I see... so it results from the way the log is cut, like basically wood fibers running perpendicular to the main growth ring?...
  11. Weird pattern on hinoki surface of Nittaku Septear... also black lens tag?...

I have Glayzer 09C and Hammond Z2 on one, the other is a backup set - it currently has H3 Neo and Glayzer.
  12. Weird pattern on hinoki surface of Nittaku Septear... also black lens tag?...

I've never seen a hinoki blade with this kind of pattern on the surface before. Usually hinoki/cypress woods have a distinct look with straight lines running vertically along the surface. But on this new Septear I just got, there appears to be a pattern (almost like a fish-scale Koto layer)...
  13. Ma Lin Extra Offensive

YEO comes factory sealed, and it's got a hard wood surface, so it should not need any more lacquering...
  14. Vega Europe versus Omega 7 Europe

Yeah Omega 7 rubbers are popular here, but the shrinking is their biggest con. Maybe it's because of the climate? idk... It's only a problem if you have to re-paste it though... otherwise it's got good durability.
  15. Vega Europe versus Omega 7 Europe

Omega is faster, lighter and shrinks a lot more than Vega.
