  1. Boosting ESN or spring sponges??

I've tried boosting ESN or Euro rubbers (Razkas, Bluefires, Acudas). I've also used a boosted H3 for a year. I was using Dandoy's bio booster, which you can buy online. I usually apply the same amount of booster layers, leaving it to dry full 24 hours after the last layer. My conclusion is...

  3. Backhand rubber

It really depends on your goal/style at your BH area. If you do mainly blocks soft rubber are better. However if looping is you game, harder and grippier are definitely better. Genius would be best if you mostly perform blocks at your BH, T05 would be best at loops and T64 would lie somewhere...
  4. Acuda P2

4 out of 5 rating for Acuda P2 The blue sponge from the Bluefire series combined with the topsheet from the Acuda series make a very good kit. Looping and passive blocks are extremely easy to perform, making the Acuda P2 perfect for players who always aims for longer rallies. Since the hardness...

  6. Dimitrij Ovctcharov is now using Tenergy

I've also heard that he uses a Stiga Clipper (although with donic handles), and seen some pictures with he blade with the inner red layers just like the Clippers. It's nice to see some super pro level players using full wood blades.
  7. Does all Pro Player's use boosted rubbers?

These are awesome videos! Thank you vanir! I will work on this technique and see if I have any further improvement.
  8. Does all Pro Player's use boosted rubbers?

That's very interesting, so the key is only have enough spin on the ball? So to achieve this stroke I have to concentrated to do a more forward motion and flatter stroke? Or do I have to really have brush the ball forward?
  9. Does all Pro Player's use boosted rubbers?

Well, it just a fact that boosting is a traditional way to enhance a rubber performance and is only illegal because ITTF wanted to. Speedglueing was a very common practice 20 years ago, along with ball diameter increase and ban of speed glue all players had to adapt. I guess it is...
  10. Does all Pro Player's use boosted rubbers?

I've watched most of games from the WTTC 2015, and you can really see which players have boosted rubbers and those who do not. For example Mizutani's rubber seem to have very little to no booster at all, and Gao Nin's rubbers have a lot (IMO). Gao's rubbers sound very different and louder, and...
  11. Article: Dimitrij Ovtcharov - Player Profile

Wow! I did not know Ovtcharov used the Clipper. I thought he was using either the Waldner Senso Carbon v1 or the Ovtcharov Senso Carbon. Hard to see players using the Clipper, too bad he uses the large sidetapes, if he did not we would be able to see the red layers!

  13. Tenergy 64

4 out of 5 rating for Tenergy 64 Great for Mid-far table play, since its topsheet acts more like a spring it helps when performing either counterlooping or driving far away from the table. It's great for players who value driving your way out of a rally, rather than doing full force attacks.
