  1. Just tried the Hugo Calderano blade from Xiom, it feels pretty unique.

I bought one and got Vega X rubbers on both sides. Had my first hit with it yesterday for 3 hours and really liked it. Definitely slower than the AZXi, completely different feel. Handle is slightly larger than the AZXi, you are talking a tiny amount. Great control and excellent at blocking but I...
  2. OFF- Blade with no Vibration

Yes that is blade I have been giving a lot of consideration but wanted to know if there were cheaper alternatives.
  3. OFF- Blade with no Vibration

Never used speed glue or boosters. Didn't know they'd make any difference to that. I've also had the Inifinity VPS blade and it had vibrations as well, didn't really think most of the Stiga brand would, just the ones I've choosen lol Again part of the problem when trying other people's bats in...
  4. OFF- Blade with no Vibration

I had 2 Stiga Clippers once!!! I tried my friends and it had very little, the 2 I bought I really didn't like. I don't know why I'm not a fan of the feeling, there is something about it that makes me think the blade is cheap if it does which is completely wrong to think that as I totally...
  5. OFF- Blade with no Vibration

I did have that on an old bat before but I just prefer the plain wood feeling in my hand.
  6. OFF- Blade with no Vibration

Thanks for the suggestion guys, I will look into them. There is something about the feeling off the blade when you contact the ball I don't like. I have a Stradivarius and AZXi and they have minor vibrations, I've played with my friends Primorac Carbon and Timo Boll ALC and they have next to...
  7. OFF- Blade with no Vibration

I not a fan of vibrations at all. I noticed Xiom have a new blade coming out which fits the bill but it not cheap and was wondering if there were any others out there that are cheaper.
  8. OFF- Blade with no Vibration

Hi Guys, looking for an OFF- blade that has no vibration. What would you recommend? Thanks in advance Mikey
  9. Xiom Azxi and Vega Pro Rubbers Question

Thanks for the reply thomas.pong. The reason for changing is that my current setup is 2 years old so I wanted something new. I tried my friends blade with MX-S and really liked that it was faster, seemed to produce more spin and still as controllable as my own setup. I thought that the AZXi...
  10. Xiom Azxi and Vega Pro Rubbers Question

Absolutely agree, unfortunately in the clubs I play no one is really interested in training as such. You'll have a knock up and maybe you'll get 5 minutes to practice something then it it just onto knocking the ball about. I am the wrong side of 40 and doubt very much I will ever have anywhere...
  11. Xiom Azxi and Vega Pro Rubbers Question

    Interesting read, thanks for that.
  12. Xiom Azxi and Vega Pro Rubbers Question

Hi yogi_bear, I believe you, I do notice the slight difference in vibration from each side but I couldn't tell is one was faster than the other. When playing forehand top spins I found that the ball was landing in the same place and I guess I was looking for one side to be slightly less.
  13. Xiom Azxi and Vega Pro Rubbers Question

Thanks for the advice, I do intend to use the new setup, it cost enough so I want my monies worth lol. I did try MX-S Max on a Stiga Intensity Carbon blade today and it felt much easier to use and had more control. I guess I was hoping this would be the same. One final thing, I cannot tell the...
  14. Xiom Azxi and Vega Pro Rubbers Question

Hi guys, just bought a new Xiom Azxi blade with 1.8mm Vega Pro rubbers and having a bit of difficulty adjusting with it. The new setup is great at blocking and counter hitting but lifting backspin is much harder as it seems to have a very low arc, almost a more flat flat tractory which I was...
  15. Xiom Ice Cream blades, AZX Review

Thanks for confirming that. If only it wasn't Christmas I might have been able to have the bat for the weekend lol
