  1. Form is simply a means of consistency (a physics based approach)

The same stroke doesn't work on every ball and you have to be able to adjust your stoke to suit the the ball coming at you. The opponents style, stroke production and bat/rubber all have an impact
  2. Help needed for a FH rubber

Glayzer 09C is a very versatile easy to use do it all rubber.
  3. To be a BH looper, or to be a BH controller, that is the question.

I am a LH player who has a very good forehand and as a result nearly everyone I play serves, pushes and attacks my backhand. As a result I have developed a really solid reliable backhand that I rarely miss. I can push all day long on my BH if need be and I can block and counter hit, but I pretty...
  4. Yasaka Rakza Z Review: Still a good hybrid rubber in 2026?

I really like Rakza Z for pretty much everything except smashing. I really find it difficult to put the ball away when smashing and it's not speed it's basically inaccuracy. I currently have only used it on wooden blades and I was wondering whether an outer carbon blade or even an inner carbon...
  5. Yasaka Rakza Z vs Victas V>15 Sticky

I found a fair bit of difference between the Z and Z EH. I felt the EH lost the unique feel of the Z. The Z has heaps of control and a high arc, whereas the EH loses some of the high arc and control and replaces it with extra speed which sort of puts it in line with a few other rubbers. The Z is...
  6. Yasaka sweden extra - bh ruber advice

To me it feels harder than Rakza 7 Soft and Rakza Z and softer then Dig 09C and the Hurricanes 37/39 and Rakza Z EH. Control is on par with the Hurricane 37 but I find it easier to attack with the Glayzer and just easier to use than the Dignics
  7. Yasaka sweden extra - bh ruber advice

I have Glayzer 09C on the BH on the same blade and for me it's the best rubber I have tried, a really good compromise between power/spin/control
  8. Dignics 09C

At the moment I will continue to try the Rakza ZEH on the FH but the G09C is just so easy to use. For me it's all about me feeling confident to go for my shots as I like to be aggressive and the D09C is great but I just find myself being a little more hesitant with the D09C. At this stage the...
  9. Dignics 09C

I finally set up another bat with Rakza Z EH and Glazer 09C [current setup was D09C / DHS 37] I am really impressed with the G09C on the backhand, it is so easy to use and although it may not be the fastest or spiniest it really doesn't have any downsides for me anyway. The RZ EH is slightly...
  10. about knee surgeries

It's very unlikely that a meniscus tear will heal over time as they have a very poor blood supply. However if you keep playing there is a really good chance it will get worse, so I would suggest you get it looked at while the 'tear' is not too bad and recovery time will be a lot quicker.
  11. about knee surgeries

I had a meniscus repair done and the recovery was reasonably quick, walked out of the hospital the same day and was playing carefully after about 2-3 weeks. I also have had a knee replacement since and was playing again after 3 months. I had a knee reconstruction [ACL] many years ago and the...
  12. I need a clear answer, when receiving, when does the ball has LESS spin? Off the bounce? Or after it reached its apex?

I find the longer you leave the time you contact the ball after it hits the table the more the ball has moved off lets say a straight line making it more difficult for you to return as it spins further away from you [sidespin serve]. I find it varies with the type of serve as well and also what...
  13. Drills for spinny, high backspin balls?

I play a friend who does this shot every now and then, unintentionally, and the ball looks easy enough to put away, but I find if I don't commit fully to driving/smashing the ball it very quickly goes into the net. The slightest hesitation and I will mess it up as it has a heap of backspin even...
  14. Advice and thoughts on wet ball during rally

Every time you miss a shot and there is a wet spot on your bat stop play, show him, and he either sorts it out or he should forfeit.
  15. Quality of DHS rubbers bought domestically in China vs Taobao vs AliExpress

The DHS I purchased in Beijing at the start of the year is the same quality as the rubber I have purchaed off Aliexpress and also off a local supplier
