  3. attacking on fast spiny long pushes.

hey, everybody. i have been playing table tennis for quite some years now. however i find myself lacking the killer power in my forehand strokes. i hit the loops allright. they are spinny, but i don't seem to get that giant forehand kill. is it possible to develop a good game without it? my...
  4. The Never Ending Tragedy - Ma Long vs Hao

One can analyse as much as they want about Ma Long having a weaker backhand and a error prone short game, which is true to an extent, but the real reason why Ma Long couldn't perform was his nerves. We all had anticipated that he had got over his issues and is a much more stronger player now...

I feel bad for Ma Long. I seriously do. I just hope he keeps trying. He sensational to watch most of the time. And I'm so upset as his fan, God knows how he must be feeling. He is as good as ZJK and Hao, but somehow he takes all the pressure of the world on himself. I have a documentary on him...

I think Timo would have an outside chance if he were playing at his peak physical fitness levels, but he's nowhere near that. Timo's spinny loop style requires him to be absolutely fit if he has to have any chance against the top 4 Chinese players. He's past his prime and The likes of Ma Long ...

Amazing work Dan, really amazing. A big thank you. These guys do work insanely hard and focused, don't they? It's unbelievable sometimes. Day in and day out. See if you might catch up with Ma Long sometime. Now I'm all the more impatient for the WTTC to start if I wasn't already...;)
  10. Why table tennis isnt so popular? Any suggestions?

Well, there can be a lot of reasons. The most obvious one being, the spin mechanics of the sport. It's really hard to appreciate how much difficult top level TT is unless you are a player at some level. For a non player it's difficult to appreciate the sport on TV, especially from the end to end...

  14. Why am I not improving?

very nice post azlan. the only problem is if you really love table tennis, then not getting good practise partners or coaches for a period can be really frustrating. and there's not much you can do then. i am faced with a similar situation now. i have access to tables daily. but the place i'm...
