  1. GRIP and how it affects technique

Probably my main question is why do I find it much easier to impart spin with a tighter grip than with a loose grip. But it might just be that I m used to spin the ball with a tighter grip, because it has been my grip for many years, even thought I have been practicing a looser grip, one year...
  2. GRIP and how it affects technique

Hi people, I never had any coach, like many, what I know is by reading online. So sorry if this questions are silly :D For the last year I practiced a loose and relaxed grip(with the fingers barely adding any pressure at all) approach and found that I am faster and my backhand improved a lot...
  3. Amazed by the low weight of the Palio AK74 rubbers... wow.

They have enough spin and speed, and they are excellent for the price. Don't compare them with tacky rubbers, doesn't make any sense. They aren't spin oriented rubbers, no one said that.

Far from my experience. There are many variables that make it possible for you to have such different experience from mine: It could be stroke mechanics, rubber+blade combination and many more.. But for me, no problem at all looping, flicking etc. Both rubbers Red and Yellow are pretty...
  5. Amazed by the low weight of the Palio AK74 rubbers... wow.

Yellow is really good for both bh and fh. With just 2 sessions I prefer it to the red but I'm going to insist on the red on fh for a bit more, maybe a month to see if I can adapt to the unforgiveness of the really hard sponge ( on the bright side, it forces me to try and brush more vs hitting...

Amazing win from Marcos. 4-3 vs Harimoto!!
  7. Amazed by the low weight of the Palio AK74 rubbers... wow.

Thanks for the help hipnotic. The blade is Zetro Quad. Yeah, it will probably be easier with yellow fh and blue bh but I will continue with the same setup because I know I will adapt eventually and I prefer harder sponges, also, I would loose a bit of speed and control on blocks I believe. It...
  8. Amazed by the low weight of the Palio AK74 rubbers... wow.

AK47 red (FH) and yellow (BH) tested yesterday, 1h30 training. The training consisted in games only so I got a good initial grasp of the rubbers . Quick review (always comparing with MXP and ELS): I'm probably going to be a bit hard on this rubbers, because of that, let me say that they really...

  11. Amazed by the low weight of the Palio AK74 rubbers... wow.

Ah, I have too blades and one of them is a Liu Shiwen also - a trade from a Timo ALC! But I really like the other one, Xiom Zetro quad, and its my current setup with mx-p and el-s. I've been using this tibhar rubbers for an year and a half. I'll probably continue with Zetro quad though, I'm only...
