I just moved to the Triangle area for school- will probably end up running into you at TTTC once I settle in!
  2. What short pimple rubbers are the pros using?

Don't know why, I'm not a pro lol. I also never said that there was anything wrong with 802- it's a great rubber! Meant among pro players as the thread title notes... I do believe that 802 was more used in the older era- for choppers at least. As a quick search of current pro equipment shows...
  3. What short pimple rubbers are the pros using?

The most common defender short pips are TSP Spectol (though there are many type), many famous SP choppers have used/use this. TSP makes other short pips too- like the Spinpips series which are used by SP defender, Yuto Muramatsu, of this era. Friendship729-802 in its varieties are more...

  5. strange table

Ah- this is a table for teqball i.e. a teqboard-- the table tennis-soccer hybrid which uses this kind of table There's also headis, which is played on a regular table?
  6. J.Rosskopf Serve Clinic WVC 2018(how to practice service and diss on EmratThich)

I am definitely not exactly what you'd call a ERT fan... but the part you're referencing is merely a confusion in the question because Rosskopf is a lefty. He demonstrates with his RH and is like 'o yeah'. Plenty of circumstances which give you the feeling what ERT says is sometimes unfounded at...
  7. Table Tennis AZ Channel

Any idea what happened to the Table Tennis AZ Channel? There were alot of helpful Chinese tutorials available even earlier this month... Wondering where I might find reposts or similar videos!

Sorry to slightly derail.. but who exactly do we consider to be on the A, B and C teams? Is there an official list somewhere actually?
  10. China Open 2018

When's the wedding?..... between Adam Bobrow and FZD's quads that is.
  11. Zhang Yudong avoids shaking hands with Hao Shuai!

The early argument is hard to make out because of the commentators and the on-site noise and because I can't seem to understand Hao Shaui's accent lol, but the commentators do later mention the location of Shen Zhen and the relative humidity
  12. Jun Mizutani Forehand Topspin - Need Chinese Translator

Pretty much. I've been watching on loop for a while and it's just confusing me more. I feel like at times he contradicts himself. I'll watch this again when I'm more awake.
  13. Jun Mizutani Forehand Topspin - Need Chinese Translator

I might add that the later parts of the video are interesting as well: In the segments with Mizutani looping against Coach Tasei after the 4:30, he explains that the "sliding forehand" basically has the appearance of the normal forehand in terms of power and waist rotation directionality. The...
  14. Jun Mizutani Forehand Topspin - Need Chinese Translator

It's straight up mandarin and it looks like nobody has taken a crack at it yet, so here goes. A more rigorous explanation of some of the trickier parts may be needed from someone else, but this should cover most of it. -right before contact, the rackets angle changes to become a down-the-line"...
  15. Help Against Offensive Long Pips!

I mean, OP does happen to have a specific player in mind... but I don't think it's bad to solicit tips from playing against a specific type of player (as the title of this thread suggests). Alot of development especially at OP's level come from devising preset tactics against different styles.
