  1. I know it doesnt seem to fit the trend of this chat, but can we take a moment to appreciate Joo Sae Hyuk?

These are definitely the Top 3 for all time! some from my list: KREANGA Kalinikos vs JOO SE HYUK 2009 EPIC fight! amazing resilient of Joo in game 6 with 2:3 behind GIONIS vs JOO Saehyuk 2004 SINGAPORE OPEN Head-on of both great chopers at their peaks Joo vs Wang Xi...

  3. Generating heavy backspin with long pips chop

Max sponge of FL2 & 3 is only 1.3mm. Ilius S&B also the same. Victas P series has 1.5mm sponge, and all topsheet has good friction. Ease of creating backspin in short game: P3av/P4v > P3v > P1v P1v requires higher power to generate backspin so not easy for short game. But away from table you...
  4. Looking for the Perfect Compromise Between Boll ALC and Diode 5

try Ilius B if you're playing close-to-table, the damping sponge absorbs power alot (and it's from BTY)
  5. Difference between Curl p1v an Curl p3av?

    [at close-to-the-table, both with 1.5mm sponge] friction: p1v ~= p3av easy to push (chop): p3av > P1v spin level on push (chop): p3av >> p1v push attack (with pips) : p1v > p3av side swipe: p1v > p3av chop block: p1v > p3av (both are difficult with thick spone) flip attack : p3av > p1v deal...
  6. Curl p3a or feint long 2?

The purpose of chopper using thick sponge LP is: *increase dwell time so to generate your own spin (rather than purely revese opponent's spin) *to have better control when incoming power is strong (or when you smash with LP) However, you must do your full chop stroke nice and smooth. You won't...
  7. Joo Sae Hyuk gluing up his Nexy JSH Gen 2 bat in Korea Air HQ

It might do with the optimal synchronization of blade and rubber. I feel Nexy JSH1 suits better with rubber which isn't too lively. Haven't played JSH2 yet but I'm guessing that fits well with tensor ones, just like old BTY JSH (diode) + T64 which Joo used before.
