I have a W968 Golden (No. 3, 88g) and a commercial Golden (91g). I do see a difference in the manufacturing (wider shaft on the commercial one), but also in the ball feel! The latter is much slower, a little more flexy (despite its heavier weight), with a very slight spin reduction (impression)...

I can't find any information on this wood which is due to be released this month... Does anyone have any information?

You need to check the 22 digit code, unless it has already been used, because it is a unique code. Pro versions, often have either: q/s/w followed by 968 on the box and the side of the handle...
