Hello! I have played a bit now with Timo Boll ALC along with Stiga DNA hybrid H and dornenglanz ox. I think it's a good combo. I also tried Stiga Clipper Wood with dornenglanz ox. But I still enjoy Timo boll ALC more. Somehow I have good control and the pimples have a nice amount of grip. I enjoy doing chops far from the table and I seem to be able to generate a nice amount of reverse spin. I can also play close to the table with the long pips. But Its crucial that I have the right angle. So, sometimes the ball can fly out. But in my opinion that is more of a fault than the racket being bad. My coaches have also been really interested in watching me play all of the sudden. And they seem to be surprised and I heard them mentioning that they saw I had good control when chopping.

I can also attack with the pips which is great. I can see myself forehand looping with long pips if I were to practice it a lot. And because of the rackets ALC generated speed, the long pip ball returns are often fast.

Its very easy also to return serves, and I can already long pip push the ball into their forehand so fast that they often get caught of guard and cant even return the ball. When they are looping and I am close to the table, I can do blocks that will be so short for the opponent that the second bounce is still on the table which catches them off guard.

I must say that this is a great combo, i think ALC on pips is the next thing. Get good at placing the ball on the table and then you can upgrade your racket faster.

However i must say, I would probably not be able to play with TB ALC if i would not have long pips because Im otherwise bad at returning serves and the ball bounces fast from the blade.

Does this surprise you?
