I don’t know how your Palio blade is, but the Fangbo B2X has a handle that is slightly thicker than the Viscaria and a bit smaller than the Fan ALC. It has a rounded DHS-style handle rather than the more rectangular Butterfly-style one.

I have medium size hands and I find the handle fine , a little on the small side. If you want you can put grip tape on it and that can work too - I have tried that. It just takes away a little in the feeling of the blade when you hit the ball - but it was fine.

Ahh okay then, do you think fang bo b2x is better than h301?

Hmm okay thanks for that, which do youu think is better? B2X or B2 ive heard that b2x has a bigger handle but b2 got a better feel, also is the b2x designed for 40+ ball?

Hard to say - different people have different preferences. Depends what you prefer in feel, the level your at and your playing style (attack/defend/lot of spin/play close or far from table etc) etc.

I own both - I like both for different reasons - I like the crisp and controlled feel of the 301 but I like the spin and speed of the Fang bo bx2.. I probably haven't answered your question, but I like the DHS PG5x with hammond z2 (FH) and Battle 2 (BH) at the moment as its a controlled blade (slightly slower than but slightly more control than Fan bo bx2) with rubbers that seem to match it well.

I mainly use outer carbon blades now (butterfly). The best feeling blades for me are butterfly or Nittaku blades (acoustic series) because you can really feel (vibration) the ball when you hit it. Some blades feel numb or hard when you use them and the lack of feel can impact your game especially the touch shots.

Ahh i see, yea ive seen a couple of butterfly blades but i think that its more in the expensive side, nittaku on the otherhand i completely have 0 idea.
I attack more and close to mid distance from the table, I am in a dilemma rn because of the mixed reviews with the bo b2x ( dhs tend to have bad qc, splinter, small handle, good for direct pressure, flat hits ) I also stumbled upoon andro treiber ci off and yinhe 970xx

Quality control can be an issue - but you can get a good one. The best yinhe blade I have tried is the yinhe pro 1 - balance of speed and control, more control than viscaria. Look up revspin for reviews to get different perspectives. It's cheap too sometimes yinhe will have 20% off. 1/3 price of butterfly but a good compromise.

My own opinion but be careful, I love DHS handles and I have small hands plus biased: The B2X has the best handle of all DHS blades (a close second is PG7, third place for WCQ) imo but it's still very DHS. If you like thicker handles, loki (K6 for example), sanwei (fextra 7 for example), yinhe (pro 01 and 05) tibhar (BS1 or samsonov) and butterfly (viscaria line) have better handles in that case.

Btw, B2X is a stiff and hard blade, is fast, has low throw and not too much dwell so beware of that :)

Great points, I think that's why I prefer the dhs pg5x slightly- as softer and more dwell, higher throw. What do you think of the 301?

Yeah I have the PG5 and PG5X at home and indeed softer, more dwell, higher throw for sure. Only thing is that Pg5 has an impossibly short and weird handle, PG5X is better but my hand still hurts so unfortunately I cant use them, even though I had high expectations on those :D

I have never tried 301 in depth, but I didnt enjoy the koto feel the several times I have played with it a bit to test. I'm purely a limba guy :D It's a good blade though, many people absolutely love it!

On the pg5x I did a slight sand on the edges of the bottom of the blade. I also took about a 1-2 mm of the top of the blade so it wasn't so head heavy - it worked. 😊The handle I think is hollow that's why a bit head heavy. I think the head is slightly (taller) larger than the average blade.
