Hello friends,

My current main setup is Tibhar Samsonov Force Pro Black Edition and I love it. One of the key things about that blade that I like is its handle, specifically the ST handle. I love the way it fits my hand, how chunky it is and the size. I also own Bernie Szocs Signature 1 blade and it basically has a very very similar (if not the same) handle (again ST) and I love it. I also tried Tibhar VS Unlimited and handle is very similar and I like that one as well.e

Question for my EJ friends is, what other blades have the same ST handle? Not to say that I will switch my blade anytime soon, but I am curious more then anything. And if I ever do want to switch to know where to look, because honestly now whenever I try someone elses blade (or even my own older ones) they do not feel good :D

The only Sanwei carbon/composite blade I own is the Prism, and it's FL handle is larger than average, but not as big as the FL handle of the Parla and Fextra.

For large FL handles on a composite blade, my Neottec I-Carbon is great. I would assume the U-Carbon is equally large being a "sibling".

Yasaka straight handles fits large hands - anyhow those I have tried (Goiabao, Yasaka Myth Extra Offensive both Falck) also Yasaka anatomic. If you have very broad hands it is advantageous to take down the wings by sanding. Another blade suitable for large hands is Donic Waldner Limited - both the straight and even better the anatomic. In fact the anatomic has the largest grip I tried on any blade. How similar they are to your current I don't know but I like all of those above. I have size XL in gloves.

Ha might have to try ST handles from yasaka/donic, I have not tried. The thing with handles, for my hands, its really only ST handles that I like (anatomic and FL just don’t feel right) not sure why (very giant hands could be the reason but who knows).

Also agreed on sanding, my current main setup has sanded wings out of factory and I love it.

Actually for me the Donic Waldner Offensive have the longest available handle. The anatomic for me to be perfect is to sand down the bottom part a bit that stands out like for concave. You are right that this part for some blades obstruct large/XL hands. The straight has not that limitation but sanded down the bottom of the Donic anatomic made it really good at least for me. I cannot use the flared handles - they get my hand inconveniently locked because the bottom of my hand get stuck where it digs into my hand. This is way easier for folks with smaller hands. Yasaka is really nice - read review on Falck blades at ttgearlab - he describes the handles in his review and also measurements of some physical properties of the blades.

I wish there was a database snd you could just look up handle sizes 😬
A website with measurements and outer dimension silhouettes where you can overlay blades to eachother would be ideal, like how some exist for gaming mice.

All this would be brilliant! Handles seems to br getting smaller and smaller all the time. Maybe TT players are differente these days...
TTGearLab is doing a fine job describing handles but they always exclude the length of the handle.
