Start with orange sponge anyway. 39° NEO. As a first entry to the Hurricane family it is good. Later, you can try blue sponge. As I said somewhere, read @victormanriquey article on H3.

Also DHS states that Blue #22 sponge is firmer and produce lower and longer trajectory. It is faster, but needs more force to generate speend? Yet OS #20 and BS #22 sponge are very similar. Orange has higher Throw, with more "catapult".
What do you mean by #22, i lack knowledge about that

39? or 40? i guess OS is faster yea?
OS is not faster, but it's more lively and easier to use out of the package (so will feel faster, but has less gears/top end speed), while BS requires more power and brushing and more requiring of booster to use.

Start with 39 OS to get the feel of high dwell time for arch, and you can always move from there.

Orange sponge is sponge number #20. Blue sponde is sponge number #22.

Directly from DHS handbook (translated by Google translate)

I'd start with 39. OS has a lower ceiling than BS; I'm not sure you'd feel the difference between OS and BS in terms of speed.
Well, I think, he is going for a new blade, which is already faster than his previous. So a "slower" controlled rubber is better. I would go OS. And even without it. If you are a beginner with H3, OS is the way to go. It is already a hard "slow" rubber, don't add wood on the fire. Start with that, and later, change if necessary.

Btw, i think skyline TG2 is kinda underrated. I played it, and enjoy it. I did not like TG3, but TG2 was nice. Similar to H3, but maybe a bit more dynamic/easier to play with. Still spinny ball. It has been a long time, but I think the arc is a bit different. Needs to test it again to compare it.

Yep correct, I'm going to pair it on a HL5 with the G1 on BH

Oh, what r the rest? ive never seen a yellow sponge
It is all sponge made bu DHS. So some of them are used on other than H3 sheet. Like Tin ARC, Gold Arc, Tg3-60, H3-50, H8-80 and more recently H9. #25 sponge is on Tin Arc, and regular H8 (somehow provincial and national h8 have the #20 sponge)

Less known, underrated maybe. The thing is, usually when you go for DHS, it is for the tacky and special feeling of H3. All the non tacky rubber, are good, but maybe not as good as BTY or ESN (depends on who you ask). Initially, Ma Long or other played with Skyline. Either TG2 or TG3. Even H2 a long time ago. But with the introduction of P Ball, everyone in the CNT and abroad have covnerged to the H3. Which is the spinniest, and compensate the lack of spin of the P ball. H2 disapeared when the speed glue was banned. I mean, still available, but not much used now, does not work well with modern TT I guess.
All the sponge outside 20 and 22, are relatively new. They tried to get into ESN market. With Tin ARC and Gold ARC. They kinda created the first "momdern" hybrid, with H3-50 and TG3-60. I think those rubber were good. But the H8-80 is better overall. H3-50 and TG3-60 indeed where more dynamic, and easier to use than regular H3 and TG3. But you lost a tons of spin, so you kinda lose the main quality of DHS rubber. That is where h8-80 shines. Easier than regular, yet you still have tons of spin (less than regular H3, but far more than the previous hybrid). So H8-80 is more common. I glued it on my BH yesterday. I played it before, tried Rakza Z (too hard for my BH) and T19 (too dynamic/fast and miss the tacky).

On other note, here is a cheap reliable H3 provincial Orange sponge.

Global Sport store on Aliexpress is a reliable shop, you can buy genuine product at a very low price. And Aliexpress has all the Post sell services, and all. It is quicker to ship than Prott also.
