Cheap Intermediate player paddle setup recommendations

FWIW I did put a sheet of AK47 Blue at Wakibatty's recommendation on my friend's single-ply cypress Jpen and it plays pretty well.

Red sponge is pretty meh like you say. It has 1 gear which is quick, but if you add power it instantly bottoms out.
Yellow sponge worked better for me, and only on BH. Felt much more dynamic. I never did give blue sponge more than 1 try because it ripped apart completely when I wanted to move it to another blade.

Oof. I was thinking of trying the 38. Probably I’ll try Loki Rxton 3 or Artur Europe instead.
