Together with Joachim Davy, Content and Creative Director at WTT, the Spinsight team discussed the possible integration of Spinsight into the Infinity Arena layout. Further, the team got a behind the scenes view about the broadcasting thanks to Melissa Soobratty, Broadcasting Director, and the IMG team around Mike Rehu.

(Right next to the Rigour Technology booth is the booth for the WTT China Smash; this tournament, scheduled to kick off at Shougang Park during the National Day holiday, utilizes Rigour Technology’s TTR (Table Tennis Replay) system. Rigour staff member Bian Weiwei explained that while the system previously relied largely on AR (Augmented Reality) technology—resulting in relatively limited visual presentation—it has now shifted to a 3D mode, offering clearer and more intuitive visuals. The system has also been streamlined to reduce the amount of equipment required without compromising accuracy, making installation much easier. "Operators are now highly proficient, and replay times are becoming shorter; the goal is to eventually ensure there is absolutely no disruption to the flow of the match," Bian said.)

(Rigour Technology: Taking Technology Global—Homegrown "Hawk-Eye" System Shines on the International Stage

September 12 marked the first day the 2026 China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS) was open to the public. The Rigour Technology booth in the sports services exhibition area was packed with visitors eager to experience the TTR (Table Tennis Review) system—a "Hawk-Eye" style officiating technology for table tennis. As visitors swung their paddles, the ball's trajectory was reconstructed in 3D on the screen in real-time, clearly displaying millimeter-precision officiating visuals. Dubbed the "Chinese Hawk-Eye," this sports technology product represents the fruits of Rigour Technology's journey from a domestic startup to a player on the international stage.

"Our system has already been successfully deployed at numerous international events, including the World Table Tennis Championships in London," said Bian Weiwei, a staff member at the booth, drawing applause from the crowd.)
