The side angle isn't THAT bad, as long as the camera isn't static and follows the action (and zooms out when the players play away from the table). It's just that the corner angle is VASTLY superior. I mean, look how great this is: I'd use a wider angle lens, though...

I must admit I've gotten used to the side angle. It still sucks when they place the camera too high, but the Singapore example is actually rather good.

I can live with the net-level angle when there's an actual cameraman behind the camera, moving it left or right when the players move away from the table. But overall, I think it was bad idea and wouldn't mind seeing it go.
