Ah ok, thanks mate. That makes sense for the ZJK and Ma Long grip. Think my technique is more like Ma Long's so I'll copy his :) Have you seen this video with Ma Long explaining his technique. As usual its in chinese but the visual is still very insightful.

Can someone give a general summary of what Liu Guoliang is saying or better still, a detailed breakdown on the shakehands grip. Its just that I'm having difficulty transitioning between my backhand and forehand and although my footwork is most likely to blame I feel my grip plays a part too...
