  1. China Smash 2024, Beijing, 9/26-10/6

LOL these WCQ fans are something else. I like the idea of a crisper W968, but now I'm kinda afraid of getting a Q968 for fearing of being associated with them. Maybe at least it'll come down in price soon? 🤭
  2. China Smash 2024, Beijing, 9/26-10/6

Sora lost though. Let's see if Harimoto can take him down again. If Harimoto is in the same form as when he last played LSD.
  3. Asking for Strategy against these 2 Players

I'm speaking from experience here lol, nobody wants to practice pushes! I'd love to practice it some more, but I only get an opportunity once a week with my practice partner, and we've gotta cram so much into that one session.
  4. China Smash 2024, Beijing, 9/26-10/6

I thought the message was we should all switch to LP? :ROFLMAO:
  5. Li-Ning Shoes

They run true to size, Mizuno tends to run slightly larger.
  6. Asking for Strategy against these 2 Players

That's easier said than done IMO. How many low, deep pushes did he do in any of his videos? Pushing needs a lot of practice too, and I just don't think it's in his repertoire right now. He should definitely learn that though, it's very useful even against high level players.
  7. Asking for Strategy against these 2 Players

Watched the 3rd game now, the only one we have a comparison with. Stefan doesn't look to have really worked on his game. His services look better, but he looks like he's he's expecting either an ace or a big pop up that he can just casually kill. That IMO is the main difference between you...
  8. Asking for Strategy against these 2 Players

Watched the 2nd game now. Against Ines, IMO she could've beaten you if she was more patient. She doesn't have a lot of power, and I think she pressed too much to try to finish the point after you extended the rally a few times and occasionally successfully counter attacked. If she would just...
  9. Asking for Strategy against these 2 Players

Watched the first video so far, your footwork looks better! It's especially evident when you're preparing for a 3rd ball attack with your FH. OTOH, you don't move at all when you try to open up with your BH. In fact, you don't move much with BH shots in general. That resulted in you missing...
  10. Daily Table Tennis Chit Chat

What are you thoughts on the D80 vs the D09c? Over the past week I've essentially switched back to the W968. It seems like my BH has improved by leaps and bounds over the past 2 months while using the Vis, that in rallies even my W968 + H3 BH is quite deadly. Loop drives/kills against...
  11. Has anybody tried PONGBOT table tennis robots?

Robots are good for a few things. 1) Initial stroke development. If you can't make the shot with the quality and consistency you need even when you know the spin, speed, and placement, then a robot can help you with that. 2) Footwork. Training can be designed to stress your footwork. If you...
  12. Asking for Strategy against these 2 Players

Congratulations! Looking forward to see your victories on video!
  13. Yinhe Pro 05 First Impressions

It shouldn't, unless it somehow affects the testing process (e.g. the instrument measures the object hitting the wood instead of the wood).
  14. Asking for Strategy against these 2 Players

I see. I used to get that too, playing soccer once a week cured that in about 2 months  I used to do a lot of squats, lunges, etc. as well. They're good for building muscle but it wasn't super helpful for endurance or explosiveness. Just playing TT and doing footwork drills doesn't work...
  15. DHS fans unite!

It's gluable now, though I usually do it 12-24 hours after the last layer of boost. I basically just want to make sure the oil has properly dispersed throughout the sponge but before the dome starts disappearing significantly. You must be applying some REALLY thick layers to get that much dome...
  16. Asking for Strategy against these 2 Players

Moving isn't something you just "remember" to do, it's something that's trained extensively so that you it's ingrained in your muscle memory. Do you have someone who can feed you multiball or access to a robot? A very simple drill that's helped me a lot is simply having balls served to your BH...
  17. Help/tips for forehand loop

That's very right, but there's a little trick there. Like you, I tried to imitate their movement by launching my momentum forward during the stroke, and consequently I had to do a more lifting stroke with my arm to compensate for the lack of upward brushing. I ended up with a motion very similar...
  18. China Smash 2024, Beijing, 9/26-10/6

Ito has already made a name for herself as a coach :ROFLMAO: Seriously though, I don't think her SP would help prep anyone for playing against HZJ's LP.
  19. How to stop sweaty rubber

I used to use a piece of friction tape at where the back fingers rest. The type of tape you put on the edge of stair steps to prevent slipping, so pretty heavy duty stuff.
