Wednesday I had group lessons with my coach and there's a player that I often a little tension with. I like to conserve my energy for the multi-ball drills and the footwork drills, and we got to a point where (there were 3 of us) coach doing multiballs with one player and the other 2 on another...
I wouldn't say just learn to deal with the serves you get back. Surely be prepared. But also be prepared for a MISREAD serve that comes back uncomfortably to you. Those tend to be tricky for quite a lot of players.
For example, you disguise a top-side spin and they think it's a form of under...
Dear everybody, thank you for the congradulations.
Today was another great day. very little drills primarily games. I hadn't played a single player under usatt 2000. I played 5 matches. I won every match first 3-2, then 3-2, then 3-0, then 3-1 then 3-0 again. I feel like I'm peaking hardcore...
I know this is easier said than done. But don't worry about their bragging on their wins. Theres a player at my club who's super competitive and I LET him win every time. He brags about how he can beat me easily while others that are above his level cannot. I do this because if he doesn't win...
the thing is without a coach guiding you, you will always develop bad habits. They will limit how far you can get but you will stlll be able to get far even with them.
I'm peaking at the moment and taking full advantage of it. The regular players at my club that are at or slightly above my level I demolished 3-0 yesterday. I then asked a former professional player who now has a lot of fun with long pips If he'd bless me with the opportunity to hit against...
boogar. I am very jealous of you. Not only because you have a table to play on when there are no training partners around. But the fact that you are dedicated enough to use your robot as consistently as you do truly deserves a round of applause. you're getting better quickly.
yea yours is still in good quality, I purchased a very dinged up model of this blade for 150 USD about a year ago. I recmmend selling the blade on mytabletennis.net They are much more well known for their for sale section and that's where most the buyers of these older modeled blades go to buy.
dna, you're asking for very little for that blade. you can get a good amount more than that. the black tag + no serial number is an older model of the timo boll spirit. Personally, I'd up the price to around 150$ for just the blade and it will still sell pretty well.
My main club price: 37USD per month.
Distance: I go after work, from work its 5 min. but 25 min from home.
Coaching: Only 20$ per session. Lasts 2-3 hours
Tournament travel: My main club started having semi annual tournaments, but if I were to travel for one it would be over 4 hours of...
I'm asking because of how slippery it gets. I get to a point where I won't move my feet during a point because I'm a bit afraid of falling. Takes me a point or two to realize this is why I stopped moving my feet, and then off I go to clean the bottoms of my shoes again.
What are table tennis shoe soles made of? I noticed the floors of one of my local clubs is pretty darn dusty, and with my table tennis shoes, after every other game I have to wipe the soles down with a wet towel because they'll be covered in dust. The soles are a different type of rubber than...
Backup blade. A bit more purple than my regular. Same weight, from the same tree, from the same cut of wood. Nothing will play as close to my main as this.
@carl
you're right. I tend to read only one or two comments when around 10 are posted. I comment on the one I see with little insight to the rest of the thread, need to work on that.
