  1. Why do people say LP's should be banned?

I don't think you mean that LP actually violate the laws of physics but I get your point. The way it behaves is counterintuitive to how we expect objects to behave even if we weren't already familiar with the properties of standard rackets and balls. So I imagine it's both difficult and...
  2. Why do people say LP's should be banned?

Personally, I welcome the idea that there's an entirely different aspect of TT that I haven't yet run into and eventually it'll be a puzzle for me to solve and be extremely bad at in the same way I was hopeless (and to some extent still am) when I started playing. But I'm taking a long view of...
  3. Why do people say LP's should be banned?

You will eventually run into many forum members that'll make you rethink that. A few instantly come to mind. But yes it's fun to discuss topics like this in good faith (y) I think the problem here is that there's a certain vagueness when you say that players are 'better' today than before. Of...
  4. Why do people say LP's should be banned?

This conversation is pretty intriguing because it made me think of two things that I've accepted as 'true' 1. Compared to the decades ago, athletes are faster, stronger, and better. 2. Evolution occurs slowly enough where physical changes don't have effects that we see in a lifetime So I ran...
  5. Why do people say LP's should be banned?

That's a great idea actually. I'll probably do that and have my coach do the basic LP stuff. He's advanced enough and has good feel where he can probably replicate it well enough without actually being a LP player. I can do this because I have a ton of free time and my coach in Vietnam charges...
  6. Why do people say LP's should be banned?

No matter how weird I play, I can't make my inverted rubbers into pips. We're not talking about standard or having a style here. If you want to have a good argument against the post, at least have it make sense.
  7. Why do people say LP's should be banned?

I've been playing for about a year and a half now and haven't even had a chance to practice against a LP player. Lot of people commenting here that it's something that's challenging but completely fair once you get train and prepare for it. I actually would love to train and prepare for it...
  8. Loki Rxton III Pink Review

My R3 Blue is 49g cut. So it's kinda heavy.
  9. Loki Rxton III Pink Review

I actually got it for the BH (Rxton 3 Blue, but same thing) and played with it for FH for a while and enjoyed it better that way. I got a new Sanwei 75 Inner and instead of using Moon 12 Blue, I decided to try boosting the Rxton 3 and putting it on my BH. This thing absolutely slaps on the...
  10. Tensorlike rubbers on innercarbon blades

For my normal sized blade the M- was 44g and the M+ was 46g so I think you'll be fine with it comes to weight. Going to depend a bit on Yinhe QC though.
  11. Video Footage Safe Thread

Wanted to get some advice from the experts in this thread. The video below is me recently practicing some FHs. Wasn't really focused on consistency but trying out different ways of contacting the ball. I especially liked the way 2 or 3 of the FHs I hit at around the 1:53 looked and felt. The...
  12. Bounce with the Ball / Split-Step

From my understanding the coach is combining the x step with the initiation of the actual stroke. Because it's a regular drill where the ball is going to predictable points, there's no where to "go to" after the x step. It just puts you in position to make the next shot that you know is coming...
  13. 2024 WTT Champions Incheon 03.27-03.31 Korea

My top 3 "always fun to watch players" are Gauzy, Moregard, and Lind.
  14. Chinese girl fans in every single tournament

It's pretty ironic that women in their 20's to 40's, who likely don't even play TT, are the biggest supporters of WTT in terms of tickets sold. Yes it does create a homefield advantage for all Chinese players. But maybe that's better than having no tickets sold and events being completely empty.
  15. Sanwei Fextra 7

83g ones were a bit softer and more flexible feeling than the 87g one I have which is stiff and faster. It that's what you want then maybe keep it. Otherwise if you know your preferred weight then don't be hesitant to return and get what you asked for.
  16. 2024 WTT Champions Incheon 03.27-03.31 Korea

Nobody beats Vitas Gerulaitis 17 times in a row!
  17. 2024 WTT Champions Incheon 03.27-03.31 Korea

Gauzy may not have any major titles, but he might just own the rally of the year for two consecutive years (last year with Felix and two contenders for this year in just one match with LJK). Guy is a showman through and through and is definitely one of the most entertaining players at the...
  18. Advice of *CHEAP* carbon blades and Rubbers opinion

Carbon is not expensive technology. There's no need to fake it. It's literally some plywood glued together and an ultra thin piece of composite material. Whatever you paid for your blade is what it costed to make plus a market for profit, just like any other product you own. Keep the Mercury 2...
  19. Post your latest EJ purchase

Blade edge looks really cool! But damn that logo lens is giving off unpleasant 1990s design vibes.
  20. 2024 WTT Champions Incheon 03.27-03.31 Korea

Oh Junsung put a good scare into Harimoto who must've been having flashbacks of getting reverse swept again like against LJK. Oh played an intimidating power game (very Korean style with lot of steparounds), landing a lot of shots that guys like LJH try for but miss often. Credit to Harimoto...
