I mean you can bend it a bit. The overlap I do is quite small, essentially by bending the box-cutter, you press it on the edge of the blade, but cutting point on rubber is not really on the edge, the cutter is bent a bit, so there is this small overlap, which you can control to be the same...

Yes I did that, for me the box cutter 9mm width works the best. However I don't do the 2mm overlap anymore. With box cutter 9mm, since it is flexible, you can achieve small overlap, which is right about what I need. Then I put a bit of tape, which actually really helps, against those small hits...

Sorry for chiming in without reading the thread - what did WCQ pointing after the match-ball mean? Anyway, my short perspective, I love watching WCQ even a tiny bit more than ML, then is a gap ;-) Well Matsushima is also fun, he needs to beat the arrogance and thinking "I am the talented one"...
