Thanks, that’s a good review - my experience matches theirs almost completely so I’m re-assured to see that. I felt the FZD was a little faster too, which they didn’t. The main difference for me is in the spin and dwell area.

The other rubber I have found to play softer than it is rated, much like R53, is K3 which I have settled on and slightly prefer to R53.

I think any marginal improvement of noticeable level is worth it if the user is willing to pay for it. I think it’s unlikely anybody would buy both of these together in order to choose, but may upgrade from a Viscaria or start with either one.

I think a Viscaria will be fine with the right rubbers - it’s not that fast but is very crisp and linear.

I’ll be sure to follow up.. Obviously I’m only a single voice and these were only my impressions, but of all the observations this was the standout - I made better, longer contact and hit better quality shots as far as I could tell. Small margins however.
