  1. Blade or Rubber?

What you pose is good point, yet an entirely different scenario. And yes, I'd absolutely pick Racket A in this case. For OP's sake, I don't think his original question is intended to be much of a philosophical or even technical question, but what seems to me like a novice asking if he should...
  2. Blade or Rubber?

Hey Sam, most premades' blade comp and quality are actually really shitty, cheap plywood that chips away, no density, terrible bounce... even from TT brands. It didn't use to be that way.
  3. PandaPong TENERGY 19 Review (15 mins)

BB, you make some good points, per usual, and some bad points, also per usual. Like Zeio pointed out, a user review is just that, and it has its value. What you describe is a quantitative experiment to determine quality, which would prove useful as well. You keep making the same point, and I...
  4. Blade or Rubber?

The short answer is both. The blade is the base for your hand and the rubbers, and the rubbers are the first thing and last thing the ball touches. Without a good base, the rubbers won't perform very well, without good rubbers you can't perform well either. What's a good blade? A quality blade...
  5. PALIO Ak47

Most people don't boost their rubbers. Rubbers are made to be played as-is with their own characteristics. When people want a faster and/or spinnier rubber, they usually buy a different rubber that's faster and/or spinnier. They might even keep the same rubbers and just use a faster or flexier...
  6. PALIO Ak47

    Just about never.
  7. PALIO Ak47

No, you don't need to boost these rubbers and you shouldn't as a novice. They perform well as is .
  8. PALIO Ak47

Red's fastest, Yellow middle, Blue is slowest and more control. DHS Hurricane 3 is suitable for beginners and above, it requires more work but can be rewarding in the longer run.
  9. PALIO Ak47

Hmmm yea, Tenergy would likely be too fast for you right now and hinder your progress, so not a good investment. I'd say you can try Red on FH and Yellow on BH and see if that works for you. You can also try flipping it to see how you like Yellow on FH. You'll be able to tell if Red is too hard...

    Already been out...
  11. 2200 showdown!!

Fun video and good group of players with various styles! I'm curious, which blades and rubbers are the other 3 players using?
  12. PALIO Ak47

That really depends on your level and hardness/feel preference. What's your rating, actual or estimate? What rubbers have you enjoyed on this particular blade or other blades?
  13. Rubber suggestion

Thanks for the background info, this will help us guide you a little bit more easily. It seems to me that your main problem is due to technique due to lack of practice for a long time. I think as you practice more and more, your technique will come back, so be patient and try to enjoy the game...
  14. Rubber suggestion

Same blade, no difference, they just dropped the + when they redesigned the blade with the new Butterfly logo.
  15. PALIO Ak47

I know the Red, Yellow and Blue are Euro/Japanese type rubbers, great price-to-performance ratio. Red's about 47.5 deg, Yellow 45 deg, and Blue 42.5 deg Euro scale. I don't know about the other 2 AK47's, regular and Biotech.
  16. China National Games 2021

Thanks Munch! Yea, hard to tell what he's actually using aside from the handle. It's very likely a custom blade, otherwise he would have started to use a Carbonado a while ago. Back when they were developing the Dynasty Carbon XX, he was testing a bunch of different blades with a red Carbonado...
  17. China National Games 2021

Can someone please post the pic.
  18. New Equipment 2021

Very interesting blades. Nice to see Darker coming out with new blades, experimenting with CNF and even CNF/Hinoki, and putting out a ALC blade.
  19. PandaPong TENERGY 19 Review (15 mins)

Hey Dipak, I understand what you were saying, you made some good points, I'm just pulling your leg a bit. I do like a rather soft feel on BH, and while I don't have to be so picky on blades like IF ALC, I do have to be a bit more on a blade like Viscaria. That's why I said that I'm not just...
  20. PandaPong TENERGY 19 Review (15 mins)

Excellent review as well Vombi! Thanks for your contributions as a newer member to the forum. I think "better" is relative, what is better for you might not be for another player, whether he/she is lower, higher or same level as you. Of course, there's no doubt that T19 is better in terms of...
