Before I sealed my blades I would sometimes get splintering. I always seal them now and never have a problem. If you don't seal it you will get affected by humidity changes since the wood is porous. I just use a poly sealer from Home Depot and it's a 5 minute process.

I wouldn't say it's "bad". It's just not as good as non-hybrids. Out of the other rubbers I've used the K3 actually lasts the longest.

I've done the boosting route. Didn't like it because too much headache from having to remove/reglue rubber, buying booster and gluing down the warpage.

The tackiness goes and loses grip. The bounce doesn't change much but I miss many shots when I feel the ball slip.
