  1. Asian Championships 2015

From the video's watermark it looks as if these videos are produced by TTD member Mr. ThePortal. http://www.tabletennisdaily.co.uk/forum/member.php?5670-MrThePortal Here's a link to his YouTube channel. But anyway, still a great tournament.
  2. The big EDGE TAPE thread.

I thought so, that won't be an easy mission, but i know someone who knows someone's uncle's neighbour who knows their secret handshake while flapping the ears and wiggling the toes...
  3. The big EDGE TAPE thread.

I don't wanna be repeating myself, but THAT is really amazing, Turbo. And i must correct myself, you don't run a store. This rather looks as if you own a factory. :) Is that just for yourself or for your whole league?
  4. The big EDGE TAPE thread.

Hahaha :D That sounds good. I gotta have that and also the national underwear as well as the national handkerchiefs. Now if that doesn't make me a better player, then nothing will.... :p
  5. Greetings from Ireland!

Welcome to the Forum, James. As i can see, you know how to flow. ;) Have a good time here.
  6. Returning backspin

A friend from our club also showed me this vid right here: It is in german, but you should be able to understand from the pictures. It basically says that (as Carl and others already pointed out) you could also try learn from other sports. Did you ever play frisbee?? ;) Both wristmotions...
  7. Returning backspin

This one is a pretty good one, too. You don't have to kill the ball with the first loop. Just try to make a good placement and keep variating on the spin and then be prepared to execute the next one as a real Terminator shot. If your placement is good enough, then the ball might not come back...
  8. Returning backspin

You are very welcome. I also received a couple of eye-opening advices over here, so it's nice that this time i could be helpful. If i would have known that NL already got you, i probably wouldn't have wrote. His advices are usually pretty solid. Hope we didn't confuse you by giving...
  9. Returning backspin

I just found this video for backhand technique...
  10. Returning backspin

The advice with the open racket is absolutely correct. What is also important, is where you contact the ball. If you loop against a drive or a topspin, most people i know will tell you to contact it way above the ball's equator zone - rather close to the north pole. Against backspin it's better...
  11. Returning backspin

Well, i hope i got you right, and i'm neither a pro player nor a coach, but what helped me facing 60+ old players after restarting after a 20 year long break was this here: if you don't feel confident to launch a spinattack, you could also try out spin variations on your pushes. Meaning e.g...
  12. What is your favorite cheer?

I totally agree. That has nothing in common with sports. In german this would be called 'Taschenspieler-tricks' which means something like a sleight...
  13. What is your favorite cheer?

    Something for ya ears...
  14. What is your favorite cheer?

Sorry man, but that high frequency can be a little annoying if it appears too frequently, IMHO. :)
  15. Which song(s) do you listen to before matchplay??

As the topic says, which song(s) do you listen to, to get prepared for matchplay? Like hugo calderano said he's listening to "the final countdown" Lately i often listen to that trap song 'Badman' from the tropkillaz when i get ready for matchplay. And then the hookline "badman forward, badman...
  16. Types of Table Tennis Forum Members

You had my 'like' already when you quoted that beautiful Bob McGrath song... Thanks a lot. Gave me a good laugh. :D Godda go! :D
  17. high and low throw rubbers

Haha. I also had to try this after seeing that video. And exactly the same result like you. :) But i keep doing it and slowly (real slowly) i'm starting to improve. But i also practice on walls, furniture, mirrors. But still not good enough to expose on video yet. :) We should open up a new...
  18. How much is used Tenergy worth?

When i was a kid i often bought used rubbers from a friend of mine who was a semi pro who played 2.Bundesliga in germany. I don't know but his rubbers felt different than the ones off the shelf. But the main reason was i didn't have a lot of money, so it was a good way to get cheap and (still)...
  19. What oils can be used as boosters?

Sorry for offtopic... That almost sounds like a german word. But for a german muschifikation they actually use estrogens....
