  2. Table tennis Tactics for Thinkers!

"If you couldn't write a book about your game, either you don't know your game, or you have no game." Or you are a poor writer... Sounds like a defensive game, Your setup could be too fast... Cheers L-zr
  3. Help with beginner setup

Naa, until You feel comfortable. There is no missing out. With a slow rubber you get more control, and its more fun to be able to put the ball back on the table. You won't win more matches with a faster rubber unless you can do just that. One thing, don't believe the talk about Mark V being...
  4. Help with beginner setup

Look for something that is not sensitive to incoming spin. A rubber like Rakza 7 is very spin sensiitive. In that sense Sriver is good. Try to go a little harder than Sriver FX, it will serve You in the long run. The spin You are missing is a technique issue. I would recommend Mark V, its a...

  6. My personal experience with SANWEI NOVA Carbon, and some tips on how to use this blade.

I did something similar. Starting low and going up in speed. The best sofas was Nittaku S-CZ. It has a great feel and easy to spin with, but it was a little slow so when blocking I became vulnerable. With my current setup my blocks are more vicious, but the drawback is the feel… However I have a...

If you do let me/us know what you think about it… Cheers L-zr
  8. My personal experience with SANWEI NOVA Carbon, and some tips on how to use this blade.

I just got one… Only ”bench tested so far”… The same basic design as primo carbon… This is my favorite design. Either a 5 all wood or a 3 + 2. There is some flex to it and that in combination with the top layer (Canadian cypress) I think it will be a great compromise between spin and speed. I...

  10. Post your latest EJ purchase

Just got this. Thanks @mocker88 . Sanwei Nova Carbon 87g after two thin layers of shellac. Seems to be fast judging by bounce and frequency (by ear comparing to a known blade) a I judge this to be in the lower end of off+. A little too fast for me yet. Build quality is decent no worse than...

  13. Europe Smash Sweden August 14-24 2025

  14. Does bat move faster than the spin?

The rotational speed can never exceed the tangential speed of the racket. At best it can be equal (if there is no slippage)... Cheers L-zr
  15. People who switched from carbon back to wood, how’s it going?

Mine were: S-CZ 83g (listed avg 82g) Long7 89g (listed avg 90g) Note that the Long7 is discontinued... I chose dit due to the increased handle size so I don't have to play with grip tape. Most handles today are so puny... Cheers L-zr
  16. a lot of doubts... help :(

The problem is not your equipment. Use the slow one and try to hit harder. In the process you will develop skills and after some time switch to the fast one... Cheers L-zr
  17. People who switched from carbon back to wood, how’s it going?

Yes, it’s faster, stiffer and heavier. Same rubbers. But the S-CZ feels better. The S-CZ is one of the slowest composite outer blades I have played. The S-CZ head is small and the Long 7 head is large. Cheers L-zr
  18. Butterfly Harimoto ZLC Vs Harimoto Super ZLC

Part of the same thing… Cheers L-zr
  19. Butterfly Harimoto ZLC Vs Harimoto Super ZLC

The Super ZLC blades are usually harder and faster than the ZLC blades, thus more difficult to handle... Cheers L-zr
  20. Equipment update

Innerforce Layer ALC or Harimoto innerforce ALC. Look at the specs to which one will fit you better it’s not a huge difference… Cheers L-zr
