  1. Protection sheet - Use Duration

Loss of stickiness happens to all sticky rubbers. I clean my rubbers with a standard TT cleaning agent. Spray once on each side. Use a sponge to wipe of dirt. Let dry ~1min. Put on covers (always the non sticky ones)... Have not noticed any adverse effect. Cheers L-zr
  2. Aligning Hurricane 3 after re-boosting

I’m kind of with scrub man on this. I boost once and then play. But I boost lightly. The change happens gradually ( of you use seamoon ) and it’s really easy to adjust. I then play it for -6 months. At the end it’s really trashy but it works for me. Cheers L-zr
  3. First setup for basement player

You must be special then, it wouldn’t work for most people believe me. When they are set up like this I use to put some extra pressure and their returns fly of the table. A bit risky but I usually gain more points than I loose 😎 Cheers L-zr
  4. Can I still use this blade?

Really, no way I would expose my blades to this I fixed enough dings for this, used it all the on my own and others boats. You will need some real heat and wet cloth for this. The steam will creep into the pores and maybe even between the layers and depending on the glue resolve it… But to OP go...
  5. Ideas for alternative Nittaku Sieger PK50

Rakza 7 is faster and has a lot more catapult with less spin. Better to get used to the weight… Cheers L-zr
  6. Switching from Tenergy 05 to H3 Neo

You need a more open angle with H3 due to the low throw. With Tenergy you always need a closed angle but with H3 you need to vary it more. The most gain is in the short game, service and openings. The most loss is far away from the table, drives and smashes. Tenergy loops best with full contact...
  7. San Francisco looking for training partner.

It’s probably a great blade but scrubs claims are hilarious… Cheers L-zr
  8. First setup for basement player

Must have wanted you to fail 🤣… That is the absolutely worst choice… I have some tenergies in my stash. Their great from position 3 away from the table but horrible up close… Absolutely no marginal at all… Cheers L-zr
  9. Switching between inner and outer carbon depending on season/humidity

No thanks I have plenty of blades in my stash that’s untested 😇. Don’t need any more now (I hope)… Cheers L-zr
  10. First setup for basement player

If you follow the Yasaka path. Mark V < Mark V HPS < Rakza 7. But there are cheaper Chinese options. I keep hearing about AK47, but I never tried it. I played with the Yasaka though. I used to believe that I needed fast equipment but the best thing I ever did was going back to basics with...
  11. Overboosted rubber

Nope if you let it stay on the blade it plays fine for a long time. I used enough times now to know this. I never reboots or reglue… Cheers L-zr
  12. Overboosted rubber

If this is your own booster it contradicts your 1:st post where you said nothing is visible. This is exactly how seamoon boater reacts… By the way 5 layers ??? That IS over boosting. Cheers L-zr
  13. First setup for basement player

T05FX stay away, they are a nightmare in the short game. It is the worst choice for someone learning to push. With the Hadraw 5 I would recommend good old Yasaka Mark V. Don’t listen to anyone saying it’s old fashioned bla bla bla. They are great slow and unreactive with plenty of spin. Then...
  14. Overboosted rubber

No tension not much hardness change, sounds like a hoax to me… might as well use kerosine… or nothing at all.., The only laborious is the waiting between layers… If you want to have more catapult you must increase the tension in the topsheet. This is best done by expanding the sponge… I will...
  15. Overboosted rubber

I change rubbers 2 times a year and seamoon works perfect. The initial effect is big and then it evaporates slowly until gone. By that time I am used to how it works and no need to change. At the beginning of the season it takes a couple of sessions to get up to speed no problem there. If there...
  16. Blade broken in half, did this ever happen to you?

That is impossible without abuse. Even then the crack is too clean almost like the grains are all in the same direction. Never seen a clean crack like this before… Cheers L-zr
  17. What rubbers should i get to new blade?

Go for something cheap ( Chinese made is normally cheap ) and non tacky… Cheers L-zr
  18. Daily Table Tennis Chit Chat

Speed vs Spin. Speed > Spin = lower angle Speed < Spin = higher angle Cheers L-zr
  19. DHS fans unite!

I’ve played H3 OS provincial for over a year now and they are all very similar even the same to me. Cheers L-zr
  20. Switching between inner and outer carbon depending on season/humidity

No not noticing much difference. It’s more like a day to day form. Right now I go for slow outers. But in reality it doesn’t matter. I think most carbon blades are a little too heavy. I like a weight 80-85 grams and it’s a little hard to find carbon in that range most are 85+… Cheers L-zr
