  1. What FH rubber to choose? (pen)

Blue sponge has less feeling and control compared to orange sponge. You should give the commercial Neo Skyline 2 40 degree a try.
  2. WTT Finals Men Doha 2023

    2 more days to go . . .
  3. What FH rubber to choose? (pen)

Stick to Neo Skyline 2 (the orange package). It’s formula has stood the the test of time. Powerplay has very little tack so its control, short game and spin is inferior to Skyline 2.
  4. What are your TT goals for 2024?

I know it’s tough 😂 Some TG3 rubbers are on the way. So my bh rubber will change in a few months
  5. What are your TT goals for 2024?

Two goals: No injuries Stick to one setup for a year 😂😂
  6. Long 5 vs Long 5x

The more important question is what is your play style? Long 5 has a few versions. The oldest L5 has a high level of flex. The newer L5 has a more crisp feel. L5X is basically a bit more crisp than the new L5.
  7. Hurricane 3-50 or H3 Neo soft (37 degrees)?

You can find it: https://prott.vip/Product-Details.aspx?productcode=NEOproOrangeRed37 https://ttnpp.com/store/dhs/992-neo-dhs-hurricane-3-iii-provincial-6-edges-37-soft-6.html
  8. Hurricane 3-50 or H3 Neo soft (37 degrees)?

You’ve just opened a can of worms 😂 Commercial H3 (regardless of Neo or not) has poorer QC. It means if you buy 5 sheets of commercial Neo H3 at 37 hardness, they will weigh quite differently. The reason behind this is the commercial version is not true to its described hardness. So some of...
  9. Unboosted Hurricane 3

He boosted it. But Skyline 2 is so hard it feels dead even boosted. Excellent for drop shot and short game
  10. Rakza Z vs Baracuda

Baracuda is a much softer and older product (2009). But it’s still a great bh rubber. For fh I will go for R Z for sure
  11. Hurricane 3-50 or H3 Neo soft (37 degrees)?

H8 and H8-80 are very different beasts. My h8-80 37 degree weighs 50g cut to my w968. My H3 37 weighs 42g cut to W968. Don’t get me wrong, H8 is popular on FH and H8-80 are popular on BH. But they only work if you have the physical strength to drive them. They are designed to be heavy.
  12. Hurricane 3-50 or H3 Neo soft (37 degrees)?

H3-50 was designed for the new ball. Very easy to play, easy to unleash the speed with low impact. H3 37 suits people with better technique.
  13. Hurricane 3-50 or H3 Neo soft (37 degrees)?

Ma Long has some influence on that I am sure 😉
  14. Unboosted Hurricane 3

What’s the colour of the number 3 on the package? A red 3 indicates the new topsheet - almost non tacky. If a black 3, might be the old or the new one. It’s down to personal preference really. Some people prefer a style like Ma Lin, he plays extremely soft short game as well as explosive...
  15. Hurricane 3-50 or H3 Neo soft (37 degrees)?

I have played with both which are designed for bh. In fact DHS has other rubbers specifically designed for BH. H3-50 has a #50 sponge and the H3 37 has the usual #22 sponge. The #50 sponge release sufficient speed with little effort. The #22 sponge feels more dead. But #22 has a higher...
  16. Recommendations for CPEN blade

Idk much about the history. But I don't think another other brands are doing what Yinhe is doing in the Cpen market though.
  17. Recommendations for CPEN blade

I’ve played with both. Yasaka G5 is good for its thickness. YEO is too think for a comfortable RPB. My ideal thickness would be 5.6-5.8mm. But a thinner backside handle helps
  18. Tenergy 64

It really depends on your style. Are you spin or speed oriented? Do you tend to play close to table or stay away? Do you prefer long rallies or 3rd ball kill? etc In summary, T64 is not that sensitive to incoming spin. The magic is that you can generate very dangerous spin with T64. The sponge...
  19. Recommendations for CPEN blade

If you can get hold of this penhold it would be great. This is their 6th attempt to perfect Cpen. The main features are: 1-Rounded heightened front handle so your index finger can hook onto it with ease. 2-Backside handle is thinned out to facilitate RPB I am almost tempted to go back to...
  20. New blade - suggestions

I have played the blade and the rubbers, not in the exact combination though. Diode V has a soft feel but the catapult effect is pleasingly monstrous. R7 will go well on FH because it’s not that sensitive to spin. The downside is spin generation will be difficult. Tackiness chop will work...
