WCQ and LJK switched to the newer W968, not the one ML first used. The newer W968 has a smaller head, more crisp and less flex. The older W968 (ML using 2015-2016) is a FH monster. The catapult effect is obvious and the ball just dives after the second bounce.

Get a 39 degree orange sponge provincial H3 to start with. It’s very forgiving and linear. 1-2 layers of booster will do the job.

It’s still a great rubber for the plastic ball. In fact, due ti its less grippy topsheet compared to the newer gen rubbers, R7 is very good at blocking

FZD ALC has the softest feel among all the Butterfly outer ALC blades. It’s even softer than LGY ALC. So FZD ALC is great for loopers. That might explain why FZD uses more FH these days.

W968 is my all time favourite. The massive catapult feel is a joy.
