  1. DHS W968 review

WCQ and LJK switched to the newer W968, not the one ML first used. The newer W968 has a smaller head, more crisp and less flex. The older W968 (ML using 2015-2016) is a FH monster. The catapult effect is obvious and the ball just dives after the second bounce.
  2. FS DHS W968 provincial (letters)

I am interested but don't have that much money 🤣
  3. Pro versions of rubber vs commercial versions

I can only speak for the H3 variants which I have used for more than 10 years. You are correct that professionals get to choose or even customise their rubbers down to 0.5 in hardness. The professional rubber has the highest quality costing >$100 The next level down is the National H3...
  4. Advice for a new equipment

This setup is only 3 years of age. Nothing wrong. In fact it’s a setup suited to beginner to intermediate.
  5. Life, Existence, and the Meaning of Long Pips - The Opus Maximus of James Z

Between Xu Xin and Kim Taek Soo. I will pick Kim Taek Soo. Why? He has two disadvantages vs XX: (1) He is shorter -> less coverage -> required faster footwork (2) He used 1-sided rubber -> again required faster footwork to allow FH attack
  6. Upgrading chinese rubbers

Get a 39 degree orange sponge provincial H3 to start with. It’s very forgiving and linear. 1-2 layers of booster will do the job.
  7. New Cybershape from STIGA

    Thank you. Excellent review
  8. Hinoki blades with Chinese rubbers?

Every combination is possible. It’s just not many people favour that. I paired my Darker Speed 90 with TG3 and H3. I liked them really well as Chinese rubber helped my short game. But I usually go with 39 degree sponge so I can still feel the hinoki
  9. Is Rakza7 working well with new plastic ball

It’s still a great rubber for the plastic ball. In fact, due ti its less grippy topsheet compared to the newer gen rubbers, R7 is very good at blocking
  10. Best Rubbers for Fan Zhendong ALC

That’s what I’ve heard from Chinese reviewers
  11. My blade splittered, need a new one.

It is a blade with a great value for the money. But I have to respectfully disagree. Goiabao 5 has a muted feeling due to its thickness and hard top ply. Feedback to the hand is unclear. Speed is good. Flex is low
  12. Best Rubbers for Fan Zhendong ALC

FZD ALC has the softest feel among all the Butterfly outer ALC blades. It’s even softer than LGY ALC. So FZD ALC is great for loopers. That might explain why FZD uses more FH these days.
  13. DHS fans unite!

W968 is my all time favourite. The massive catapult feel is a joy.
  14. China Table Tennis Super League-2022

Interested to see Zheng Peifeng vs Xue Fei. It’s not on YT. Does anyone know where to find the recorded session?
  15. China Table Tennis Super League-2022

I am glad to see FZD back in a good shape.
  16. T05 vs D05 vs D09c

I have played all three. I have also played Carbonado 145 which seemed quite hard for me. I would go for D05. Compared to T05, D05 is: Grippier on the topsheet = more spin Faster due to harder sponge A little heavier D09C to Butterfly is like National H3 to DHS. I would suggest you to try...
  17. Stiga new blade system

    YouTube link
  18. Backhand pips for chopping

Compared to LP, how easy is it to chop incoming topspin with spinpip?
  19. Backhand pips for chopping

My chopping setup is: Blade - Victas Matsushita OFF FH - Provincial H3 40 BH - Curl P1 0.5mm P1 is amazing in chopping topspin. My twiddle is not fast enough. I chop backspin with P1. That means I return no/top spin which gives my opponent an opportunity to kill. I saw Han Ying chopping with...
  20. China Table Tennis Super League-2022

It's a very high level of competition. Sadly the video quality is inversely proportional to the level of competition 🤣
