  3. DHS Rubber Quality

That's interesting!!! At one point i was trying to create a hybrid rubber - H3 topsheet on a Tenergy sponge. I put a cloth on my H3 rubber, iron it until it's very hot, then i slowly peeled off the topsheet. The result?? Total failure. The topsheet was glued so strongly it just took too much...
  4. DHS Rubber Quality

Only once with 3 layers of Seamoon oil. But i only play once a week though. So far the effect is still there. Looping is still a dream and loads of spin. The power is still a bit tricky to tame. So yeah not due for reboost yet. Passionate about TT
  5. DHS Rubber Quality

I have used TG2, TG3 (commercial & National) and H3 (commercial, provincial and national) rubbers. Never had any issue. I wonder if it is H8 issue. My 1-yr old H3 national still plays like new. Passionate about TT
  6. Rubber similar to h3 NEO boosted

Yes, DianChi D plays at least equally well as the provincial H3 (surpassed H3 Prov in some aspects). The sponge is 1 degree harder though. So if you are used to 40degree H3, you need a 39degree DianChi D. On Chinese forums many provincial players are using DianChi D now. Passionate about TT
  7. Rubbers for Nittaku Miyabi

On Darker Speed 90, I use H3 provincial 39 hardness. I also tried the legendary Tenergy 05 and other rubbers such as R7 soft, T80, T05 FX. Man I have to say H3 gives much heavier spin. The provincial orange sponge gives such a good feel and control. Many people say Chinese rubbers don't pair...

Exactly. A $40 H3 provincial can last you a year at least. So the money is worth it. Passionate about TT
  10. What would a championship winning penholder have to be like today?

I agree with Carl, in China coaches prefer to train up SH kids coz they progress more quickly to a competitive level. PH kids need special characteristics to succeed. Take WH for example, his ex coach Wu Jinping said WH's wrist is wider and bigger than average kids. That allowed him to play...
  11. What would a championship winning penholder have to be like today?

The strength of penhold lies in the flexible wrist. That translates into diversity of short game techniques. The legend of short game is Ma Lin. Remember Ma Lin had beaten many players that are taller and stronger than him such as WLQ, WH and Boll. Short game and smart placement can effectively...
  12. Your favorite chinese/chinese like rubber

No I haven't tried because it's not cheap $35. I have read on Chinese forum. A few provincial coaches were interviewed. They said DianChi D is at least equal to H3 provincial BS. I will give it a try after my H3N dies. It might take a few years Passionate about TT
  13. Rubber similar to h3 NEO boosted

Spin Art has a much harder sponge than Tenergy, it's also more "dead", less feel. Passionate about TT
  14. Your favorite chinese/chinese like rubber

Actually DianChi D has received a lot of great feedbacks. It's been used for a while and people have put up their reviews against H3 provincial. It's said to be more linear, has better control and the same if not better spin. Passionate about TT
  15. Rubber similar to h3 NEO boosted

True. I guess the only one that stands out from the crowd is the Tenergy sponge. Its amazing feel can not be replicated by anyone on Earth. If one day someone managed to combine Tenergy sponge with Hurricane-like topsheet, he will be a millionaire. Passionate about TT
  16. Your favorite chinese/chinese like rubber

That is a bold statement!!! Which battle 2 did you play? Apparently there're provincial versions? Passionate about TT
  17. Rubber similar to h3 NEO boosted

I read it is a German sponge on Chinese forum. It could be a mistake. But STN sponge has way better control than even boosted H3. It's also very lively. Passionate about TT
  18. Project "First Chinese Rubber"

In China people play like 5 days a week. The Neo boosting will last a month if you play like that. So if you play 3 days a week you need to boost it in 2 months. If you play once a week you probably don't need to boost it until 5 months later. When the Neo power is gone, peel of the rubber...
  19. The weapon X

I heard that it plays very similar to viscaria. Passionate about TT
  20. Just curious how many Penholders are on TTD?

I have given up the hinoki-volcanic carbon blade. Now I am back to my Stiga Celero 5-ply. Much better feel. My H3N BS does the job - soft and controllable, but MASSIVE catapult effect. I think the opposite is true. Provincial orange sponge is more forgiving than national blue sponge. Just my...
