  1. Life, Existence, and the Meaning of Long Pips - The Opus Maximus of James Z

The guy who is using this setup now can loop with inverted on FH and he is very fit actually. But he has been using inverted on his backhand most of the time and he can't save his life with it in match play. On FH side he has been using short pips for a while now (before inverted ofc), I think...

I have this distinct feeling that I do not wish to get a right hook from you 🤕 Mine is so far holding on, and I have been giving it the beans. So good for 3rd ball kills and counters, I think probably those should be the type of shots that make it bubble but so far so good. This week I gave it...
  3. I'm currently in full EJ mode. What other rubbers should I try?

Just boost up your existing one and see how it goes. I think Fastarc G-1 has many advantages over Rozena. Better grip, more catapult after boosting, better in cold weather... Lighter a little bit.
  4. I'm currently in full EJ mode. What other rubbers should I try?

Rozena with a lick of FTL on it, or better yet Fastarc G-1 with a layer of FTL?
  5. Life, Existence, and the Meaning of Long Pips - The Opus Maximus of James Z

The hell are you talking about? I am really trying to recommend players super long and short pips according to your suggestion. Heck, I have been trying them out on my spare time and I found them to be fun to use. On a competitive level I agree that I would use super long pips on my weak side...
  6. Life, Existence, and the Meaning of Long Pips - The Opus Maximus of James Z

You are not giving players a fair level playing field. I am disappointed since I thought you are a man of your principles. Why do you disappoint me? I actually am trying to pass on your knowledge on players who have substandard style or started to play late. I am inviting them to use super long...

Jesus man, over 50 every sport is semi-serious. I am using your age scale, it is not mine, so please don't refute it. I do not know what is switching points. That sounds to me to be very illegal in sports. You either have a point or don't. There is no switching. You should have explained but...

Did he break any rule of law? Was he endangering others' health?

Sorry, I had training camp this week. I was sweating my 40++++ balls off all week 6+2 hours so I missed this post. It would change my optinion to be honest. I think the topsheet is really top notch, totally DHS H3 grade. I also think the sponge is lovely. Does the manufacturer have a...

D09c, Tenergy and many rubbers have a beautiful and consistent arc. That is in a way good. But when I played with those kind of rubbers my teammate said, who uses Moristo SP on BH, that he can very consistently and safely block. But when I use quirky Chinese rubbers he also struggles since he...
  11. Life, Existence, and the Meaning of Long Pips - The Opus Maximus of James Z

In case of players who want to compete semi-seriously I guess this is good advice. But if someone is just a hobby player going down to the club and wanna have a good time and wants to hit 10-15 balls back without mistakes maybe some semi-lucky rallies with an impressive ending and of course...

I found that I like over the table countering with LAC so much. I feel like Ma Long countering other players open ups. LAC is vicious at it. I never had so high accuracy and shot so amazing counters in my life before. Other day I was training with some other teams' first league players and I...

For sure there are other differences as well. One is made in China the other in Japan, that alone is a pretty big cost difference. Energy, labor, land lease, taxes... etc must be a lot cheaper in China than in Tokyo. Tokyo has to be one of the most expensive places in the world. R&D is also a...

You could look at it the other way. Crazy that some companies get away with selling 80EUR rubbers while others sell similar ones for 15EUR. But don't believe that Dignics costs 80 EUR to make. You can bet your booty that with every Dignics normal folks buy they are sponsoring the pro players who...

More like a H3-ish topsheet with a D09c-ish sponge hybrid.
  16. "wrapping" the ball.

Just some theoratical questions But if the contact time is too short the rubber and the sponge won't have time to snap back which might be even a worse-case scenario.
  17. Is EJing good for improving?

Maybe EJing is not particularly beneficial but trying other stuff can be. Even for pips or anti players it could beneficial to try inverted rubbers and faster setups so they can find or explore what their opponents shortcomings might be with such gear. Same goes for inverted players trying...

Okay, so let's get this straight from my view. I like Jupiter 3, I also think it's very fast. But both J3 and H3 feel totally differently than K3 in actual play. Let's not kid ourselves, for the price of J3, 15 USD, or LAC for ~22-23USD they perform crazy good. I would say that the LAC reaches...

I never tried dragon grip since stiga asks way too much for their rubbers, but to me it looks like a Donic C2. While K3 is kinda like a bit sticky "tensor" rubber the C2 is more like a bit sticky "half-tensor" rubber, it has some bounce but not like the K3. C2 reminds me more of a Chinese rubber.

It was a joke. I chose the two most expensive rubbers on purpose. But if I was him on my 3rd rubber... something among these thoughts would cross my mind. Chinese manufacturers do this a lot. They change the printing. I had a Hovering Dragon and they had printed text on the sponge but mine had...
