  1. Blade Advice

I used dhs hurricane 301 for the previous 2 years and was very satisfied with blade from the beginning of use. Last month I damaged blade a bit, so I should get a new blade for the next season. I'm thinking between two blades, Butterfly Harimoto Alc and H301 again. Has anyone had a chance to...
  2. FH rubber for DHS h301x

Hi Hiep Trinh! I played the whole previous season with the dhs h301 (not the x version) and for me that blade is phenomenal. I see no reason to look for a faster blade, because that blade has a thousand gears. In a short game from the table, it is slow and behaves like a wood without carbon...
  3. Rpb rubbers

I don't know much about penhold rubber's offer from tt11. I bought a couple of cpen wood from them and everything was ok. Maybe they don't have it in stock at the moment ...
  4. Rpb rubbers

I'm using haifu seamoon booster. Compared to tenergy 05, I prefer better control and a lower angle. When I switched from t05 to mxp my rpb became much more consistant and quite confident in it ...
  5. Rpb rubbers

I find MXP suit me better than tenergy. Yes, durability is something that is talked about a lot when it comes to MXP. In my opinion from the experience I have with this rubber, the rubber has a good topsheet and I think it is quite long lasting maybe even better than the tenergy used by some...
  6. Rpb rubbers

I have been using Evolution MXP as rpb rubber for almost 3 years and have not experimented much since. I love the combination of speed and spin MXP has, and yet the control is just as good. I tried xiom vega europa once but that rubber is too soft, slow and the spin is weak so it was just tried...
  7. Topspin or flat hit?

Hello Marcos In my opinion it is definitely fh loop against high bounce backspin ball. This is the right way to attack a ball like this, because 40+ balls are heavier than celluloid, so when attacking it open bat angle should be use and racket should go more forward than upward and so a great fh...
  8. Penhold Player - Rubber Recommendations?

Hi Cofu2 I didn’t understand if you were new to the sport or switching from shakehand. My advice for rubber is definitely rakza 7 or (if you want butterfly) rozena or possibly fastarc C1. If you are looking for a Chinese type rubber then dhs skyline 2 is not a bad choice.
  9. tired of this feeling

For me, combination of skyline tg2 blue sponge (non neo) and dhs 301 works almost perfectly. As a penholder player with this combination I found the ideal feel for a short game and serve receiver and more than enough strength for strong Fh from medium distance from the table.
  10. Looking for my next bh rubber

I experienced something similar with the Evolution MXP. After 1.5/2 months when the booster effect disappears, rubber becomes slower and less spin, so opening the backspin becomes more difficult. The ball must be hit harder to activate the sponge and get the same effect as when rubber is new...
  11. Tenergy 25fx

I tried tenergy25 5-6 years ago. I didn’t play with FX because I don’t like a soft sponge. I played with t25 for about a month and I can say that I didn't like him at all. According to the description, the rubber is intended for close to table. Compared to t05, the short game was even more...
  12. The Pro's Equipment - Discussion!

I'm not sure that hybrid rubbers with a hardness of about 55 esn are similar to hurricanes 3 40 degrees. I think hurricane is much harder. Here this review of a pair of hybrid rubbers and hurricane 3 from tt11 shows that hurricane 3 is significantly harder than other rubbers ( It is 63 degrees...
  13. Gewo Codeyx

Has anyone tried gewo codexx 52 or 54 and if you could leave an impression? What rubber play like compared to the nexxus series or some other esn rubber.
  14. Penhold forehand rubber advise

If you have good footwork and technique and know how to play with tacky rubber then dhs skyline 2/3 is a great rubber. If you prefer a tensor rubber, gewo nexxus el pro 50 was pretty ok for me. I'm currently playing with skyline 2 and I think it's very good, giving me a great control in short...
  15. Dhs H301 / Donic Waldner WC89 OFF/ YINHE V14 pro?

I sealed only this 301 blade and didnt try it before sealing so i cant tell you difference. Varnishing certainly changes the characteristics of balde in some way.I have never tried donic equipment. Maybe you could try to change just rubber on TSFPBE, if bouncy and spin sensitivity is your...
  16. Dhs H301 / Donic Waldner WC89 OFF/ YINHE V14 pro?

I did not notice splintering, because i sealed my blade. I often remove rubber to boost thats reason why i did it. Deffinitly spintring is possible...
  17. Dhs H301 / Donic Waldner WC89 OFF/ YINHE V14 pro?

Another suggestion. If t05 is too bouncy for you, maybe it's better to try nittaku fastarc g1 or evolution mxs ... I believe that would solve the problem with the overshot table. It's just suggestion, because i hate that rubber
  18. Dhs H301 / Donic Waldner WC89 OFF/ YINHE V14 pro?

I tried a combination of tibhar samsonov(TSFPBE) and tenergy 05, 05 fx and 25 and it didn't work with those rubbers. They just don’t lie to me, especially in a short game. I switched to mxp and with those rubers it was much better, I became much more constant. But on fh I decided to go back to...
  19. Dhs H301 / Donic Waldner WC89 OFF/ YINHE V14 pro?

Of the listed blades, I have only tried dhs h301, which I normally play with. It is a cpen version, 5.8mm thick. I use it with skyline 2 on forehand and mxp for rpb. Although it is a carbon blade, such an impression is not obtained. Only with strong blows does this carbon activate and the blade...
  20. Overall best rubber for me - advice?

Maybe you can try Gewo, like nexxus el pro 50 fh and nexxus el 48 bh. These rubbers are great, very spiny with way more control in comparison to tenergy anf it's half price of tenergy...
