  1. Just Butterfly Glayzer (on backhand)

There's just no way. I'm too lazy to get up and inspect them side by side but subjectively D05 has a grittier, way grippier feeling, juiced up sponge, whereas Glayzer feels smoother and more relaxed to use (something beyond just softer), way way way way way less lethal. Glayzer is sneaky because...
  2. Tenergy 19 review, still a smart choice in 2026

Really good first impression with T19 on a thick hinoki 3+2 off zlf/zlc type blade. Real dwell and touch and spin and then blade power. Although before that somehow it didn't work on a soft limba off 5+2 inner zlc where it would just sink straight into the zlc layer on that one, even though...
  3. Tenergy 19 review, still a smart choice in 2026

There is real value to this. Personally, I took 3 years off, got older, fatter, back maybe 8 months now but still not very strong and get tired easily. Mostly using Dignics 05 (favorite) or 80 but lately I'm conceding to the idea that I'm working too hard and want something easier. I was digging...
  4. I can't play table tennis when the opponent is humiliating himself and talks to himself just to get some magical powers. Are they mentally ill?

We are adults playing competitive amateur TT. Of course we are somewhere between mildly crazy and mentally ill, yourself included, talking to yourself or not.
  5. Personal Score Keeping Tools

^ That one (ScoreBand, $40 Etsy) turned out to be good - light, narrower than expected, does the job ("all" mode) after spending the time to understand the settings and customizing modes. Couldn't ask for more really (*can't comment on durability, battery life). It's hard to say if it's worth it...
  6. Marty Supreme table tennis film

Saw Marty Supreme yesterday and it was good. It is a character story, Uncut Gems (as others have said) style rollercoaster that happens to be wrapped in a 50s TT skin with plenty of movie BS rather than any kind of real/serious TT movie but that's completely fine. The TT CGI was pretty funny and...
  7. Personal Score Keeping Tools

Anyone try stuff like this? I'm always losing track of the score and some people don't do their part or disagreements can happen so it's always really annoying to manage overall. Has to be something you can do ad-hoc and personally (not a fixed table install) and relatively convenient (not...
  8. Dignics 05 backhand alternative

Add a 'relatively speaking' disclaimer if needed then, but it's true, relative to most things a decent player might be using instead, D05 can handle incoming spin and power quite well. To the OP, I would try D80.
  9. New Andro NUZN 48 and 45

I hadn't used an ESN rubber in a long time. I tried Nuzn 48 maybe 5 times, then took a full 3 weeks off, then used it again at least a couple times. Originally it felt surprisingly soft, kind of fun to use overall but not very lethal. After the break it felt different, hardened up over time...
  10. Marty Supreme table tennis film

I remember this one being pretty good.
