If you can't consistently hit basic shots in (on all days), I personally don't recommend a carbon blade. If you want to step up your game you can go for slightly faster rubbers, that might be better then switching out your blade.
I feel like an OFF++ blade is not that bad if he is a mainly offensive looper/ opens on the table whenever he gets the chance
Its always best to use a slower blade, and generate the power first yourself, without relying on the power of the blade or rubbers tho

im pretty sure TMXi is a hybrid blade, which has ZLC on one side and ALC on the other, hurricane long 5 is a inner alc blade. They aren't comparable but preferably i would use a TMXi, i like the idea of the hybrid carbons
