  1. Any attempt to play in an competitive environment ruins this sport for me (rant)

Yep, I have recently started playing in the park this summer to try and remind myself what is fun about table tennis. People seem to forget that they wont get any better unless they are playful with the game. Problem is, when the crew that hangs out in the park have started to notice that I...
  2. DHS H3 vs Yasaka Rakza Z

I have two Avalox P500 that are different weight and have the same rubbers. My main is the slowest one, and the difference is quite noticeable. I bet I can order one that is even slower. Glueing and lackering has some effect on the speed as well, especially if you do a poor job of glueing the...
  3. DHS H3 vs Yasaka Rakza Z

I went from H3 to Rakza Z and felt that it was much more controllable and consistent. However, I would love to try an even slower hybrid, since I play with a bit fast blade for my level. Has anyone exstensive knowledge about the differences between RZ and Glayzer 09c, or are there any other...
  4. Best multiball drills?

No, I dont have enough experience to anticipate efficiently, which is partly why my footwork is so good since I always have to start to move to a ball at a much later time than most players. One theory I had was that I have this bad habit of not perceiving opponents racket at the time of impact...
  5. Best multiball drills?

Ok, my weakness in games are often high balls to the backhand side, serve receive on the forehand side, finding solutions for weak points in my opponent and long forehand topspin to forehand topspin rallies. My trainer has also pointed out that I am weak at judging the length of the ball so as...
  6. Best multiball drills?

What are you guys opinions about the best fundamental training drills for the modern table tennis game when a trainer is feeding the player balls?
  7. What is the best ESN Hybrid rubber for FH?

Yea, I have been going back and fourth and playing with Mark V on my backhand for a year was the best decision I ever made for my game, allthough it did make my backhand a bit passive at times since it just does not have to "umphf" to kick into peoples faces, and I cant really topspin with my...
  8. What is the best ESN Hybrid rubber for FH?

As you can see in my profile, I use the Avalox P500 and I am hesitant to change the blade since I have become very accustomed to it and I like it very much. If I can remember correctly, I think the speed of this blade sits smack in the middle between off- and off, which is probably 10% faster...
  9. What is the best ESN Hybrid rubber for FH?

Instantly fell in love with Rakza Z when I tried it, having played with H3 for a while, but I am an amateur and I would like to have a rubber where I have to work in the right technique to use it. Rakza Z feels like it automates the action because it holds on to the ball and still sends back...
  10. Nittaku C1 vs Butterfly Rozena

I am 2,5 years into table tennis and switched to Yasaka Mark V the last year on backhand to improve my technique (slow things down) and recently changed to Nittaku Fastarc C-1 on backhand. This has helped my bakchand a lot. I can play further away from the table with Fastarc C-1 than with Mark V...
  11. Simple game-winning hacks that nobody tells you

Focusing on the emotions of your opponent helps me stay in the moment instead of thinking about my own emotions. ... as I am a really introverted and kinda autistic guy, I have a hard time picking up on the vibe of other people, so focusing on this has helpen me a lot to break the rythm of my...
  12. Does a slower blade with a Viscaria-like feeling exist?

In the research I did for the blade I selected for myself (avalox P500), someone mentioned that it was the wood version of viscaria.
  13. Fastarc C1 vs Rakza 7

I dont know anyone that plays with C1, but it was the rubber I selected to upgrade from my Mark V backhand rubber on Avalox P500 (koto-spruce-ayous-spruce-koto) from all my online research and how I figured it suited my blade and playing style. I think its a rubber for more traditional chinese...
  14. I hit my Racket on the TT table

You guys havent seen dents like this before? I do this to all my blades :o ... I even split a blade in two once when doing reverse pendulum serve with downspin and hitting the back edge
  15. Overthinking: Avalox P500 BH rubber

There are ways to learn table tennis more efficiently, and it is often influenced by doing the things you dont like to do.
  16. Overthinking: Avalox P500 BH rubber

I agree with you both, but I have also experienced bad rubbers and gear that does not help with development. I have also experienced playing with DHS Hurricane 3 neo for 4 months when starting up which I did not love, but that my technique was improved in doing so.
  17. Overthinking: Avalox P500 BH rubber

If this is how you feel, then I would prefer you lie to me instead.
  18. Overthinking: Avalox P500 BH rubber

Hello, I have been trying to theorize the most optimal backhand rubber for my Avalox P500 for the modern style of two wing attacking looper at a developing beginner level. The blade itself is not optimal for the new plastic ball, but the minimalism in construction and superb touch and softness...
  19. Getting thrashed during office games?

I know this problem all too well -- you try to learn how to play table tennis proper, but their style works into a ceiling that is above your level. I would say stop playing players that dont have grip on their rackets, or dont take the practice you do with these players so seriously. Honestly...
  20. Using a Blade designed for table tennis - Why isn't everyone making the switch!?

the design could be improved, if rather costly, by having it custom fitted to your hand
