  1. Pongbot table tennis robot - review and comparison

More topspin and backspin: probably Powerpong, but to a level which isn't realistic Sidespin: Omni is better Speed: Omni says 2-15 m/s which I think is right; no information on Powerpong, but max speed was very good in the beginning, but the robot lost speed after using for several months
  2. Donic Waldner Senso Carbon replacement?

The DHS PG-5 has the same composition as far as I know: Limba - Ayous - Carbon - Ayous - Carbon - Ayous - Limba. Weight is also nearly the same. Costs around €35,- on aliexpress.
  3. Pongbot table tennis robot - review and comparison

Hello all, after buying the new table tennisrobot Pongbot Omni S Pro and testing it for several hours I'd like to share my experiences with you. I also will compare the robot to other models like Powerpong Omega/Amicus Prime and Donic Newgy 2050 and 3050XL models. It's my third robot after a...
  4. Any attempt to play in an competitive environment ruins this sport for me (rant)

I'm in charge of a small table tennis club in Austria (only 4 teams in lower leagues), but if a new player joins there's absolutely no discussion - we put him into a team according to his approximate strength, even if it's the first team right away. Everybody's happy to have a new player to join...
  5. Any Power Pong robot users?

Finally found a decent solution regarding the jams. By blocking balls from entering from the right side of the robot, balls don't get stuck permanently anymore (although there are still some delays).
  6. Any Power Pong robot users?

Finally found a solution, though there are still occasional jams.. Balls get stuck in the ring, because the diameter of the hole allows the balls to jam easily. I've reduced the diameter by adding a little barrier. Now ball jams are far more seldom. Probably a further reduction by about 2-3 mm...
  7. Any Power Pong robot users?

Update: when arranging the balls neatly in one layer (see pic), there are hardly any feeder problems. So a ring-shaped barrier could indeed solve the problem...will have a look into it
  8. Any Power Pong robot users?

I got the same problem...maybe the gunk consists of condensed dust particles. A different problem: the feeding mechanism is extremely unreliable. Balls get stuck over and over at the marked position and block the feeding hole underneath. Any idea how to solve this problem? (the feeder rotates...
  9. Best blade for Nittaku Fastarc G-1

I use G1 on fh and bh now with a DHS PG5: Limba - Ayous - ALC - Ayous - ALC - A - L. Works good for me as the blade is quite flexible, which is balanced by the moderately hard sponge of G1 (at amateur level of course).
  10. Return board

Here's my construction...one wooden board (EUR 10,--), rubbers (8x7 EUR), attached to a cymbal stand (new 28,--, used 10-15,--) with a multi clamp and a mounting plate for a drum module (together 29,--). Big advantage of using a multi clamp: the board is infinitely adjustable.
  11. Mizuno Q Quality a cheap and performant tensor that matches Tenergy 05 at half price

I also got two sheets, red and black, but they are exactly the same weight.
  12. Longevity of Hybrid rubbers

I'm playing with hybrid rubbers since 1,5 years, my experiences (always cleaning with water only, always using protection film, from time to time using Revolution No 3 rejuvinator) Rakza Z: excellent durability, the red ones are even more durable than black ones; my first sheets are 1,5 years...
