  1. Wrist lock-up syndrome

At times, I've felt like my wrist has locked up during match days / big tournaments. This is felt when am warming up on my forehand drives and am unable to direct the ball properly. The sensation kicks in when I warming up before a match and gradually subsides when am in the middle on the match...
  2. Suz s201 vs robo pong 2055

Mate, I don't own Newgy but I do have the Suz s303 model, which I think is the next version from the 201. I bought it from the company store on Ali and it was priced for less than a third of the Newgy that my friend owns - $900 as opposed to $2800 AUD. While I was initially quite reluctant and...
  3. My experience with Chinese rubbers

Jup 3 is too tacky to be used on the BH IMHO ... it does not have the throw or catapult needed to get the ball over on BH. Great FH rubber by the way. I've soft of given up on finding Chinese options on my BH momentarily - the last good option was Palio AK47 Blue. Trying out a few ESN and...
  4. looking for non-bouncy grippy cheap rubbers

Yinhe Jupiter 3 - it is quite tacky, fast and low throw. The rubbers grips the ball well and does not spit it out of a catapult - great for power driving serves on the FH!
  5. difference between big dipper and jupiter 3?

That is a very accurate description, @TensorBackhand! I am playing with Jup 3, 39 degrees on FH and I've found it to have a much lower throw than tensor like rubbers. It's quite linear, quite tacky - goes very well with Yinhe v14 pro in my opinion.
  6. Post your latest EJ purchase

Yinhe 970xxA, Yinhe Uranus Pro Medium 1.8 in red and Nittaku C1 1.8 in black... with Nittaku Morristo SP on it way.. Also, a bunch of other soft ESN rubbers in red... switching between short pips and soft ESN on BH this season..
  7. Blade to rubber combination thumbrules

Hmm, YSE is a fairly flexible blade... not at all hard by carbon comparisons, so then hard Chinese rubber such as H3/Big Dipper would go well as per your suggestion... I've found that not to be true... I even tried the Xiom Vega X on it and it wasn't exactly the best combo, though not as bad as...
  8. Blade to rubber combination thumbrules

I read somewhere on the forum discussing the Yasaka Sweden Extra that H3 wouldn't go well on it.. and the poster said something about the outer ply being too hard for the rubber... I remember once putting on a hard Chinese rubber on my copy of YSE and getting the same dead response. So this...
  9. YINHE blade reviews

Though it isn't new, I would add v14 Pro to the list. Nice, stiff blade that plays like a TB ALC ... One thing I'd like to point out that the blades gives out very little feedback, something I prefer but others may not... so if you need a lot vibration from your blade, this might not be it...
  10. What are the must try composite blades from common Chinese brands such as DHS, Yinhe, SANWEI and Sword?

Ah ha... I have the v14 Pro and I plan to test them with the same FH rubber (Jupter 3). So I will know for sure next month and report to this thread. On an unrelated note, am looking to test some light and soft ESN options on the backhand and have ordered some sheets of Hexer Grip SFX, Andro...
  11. What are the must try composite blades from common Chinese brands such as DHS, Yinhe, SANWEI and Sword?

A mate of mine plays with the Pro 05 with Jupiter 3 39d on the FH and Rasanter R45 on the BH. He really likes this combo. My impression was the ZLC inner layout offers a lot of vibration ... a bit too much for my liking. I am currently using Yinhe v14 Pro with Jupiter 3 on FH and I think the...

  13. Hello from Australia

Yeah, I think the common understanding is that v14 Pro is closer to TB ALC and Pro 01 leans closer towards Pro 01. I am very keen to give Pro 01 a try as well. I think it would go very well with the Jup 3 rubbers on FH.
  14. Hello from Australia

@mocker88 - ah yes, only the best ... lol :D No, but seriously - what are your impressions of the v14 Pro? Some people think it's bricky with no feedback ... but I really enjoying playing with it for the past year or so ... I used to use the BD 39 on my FH, but recently switched to Jup 3 and...
  15. Hello from Australia

Hello! Table tennis has been a healthy distraction for me for the past year or so, and am grateful to have discovered the passion for it. I am a recreational club player here in Victoria, AU and trying to improve my game with each passing season. Looking forward to learn and contribute...
