I heard Butterfly's Hinoki-wood has great soft feel. I've never used a Hinoki-blade myself so i'm not sure though. But they are popular so I'm sure someone else here knows more about it.

Two seasons with one Nimbus-sheet? That's just insane, if you play more than once a week you really have to change after 3-4 months. If you just play one time every week maybe it could last a whole season but never 2.

Of course it can be beneficial. Even when you're still developing your technique you can use a robot without a coach in my opinion! Just bring a camera and make a video of yourself playing. After the training session against your robot just analyse the video and look for errors in your technique...
