You can't really go wrong with any of the Xiom Vega series. Vega europe or vega elite will probably be the hardness you are looking for.

Donic Cayman is made out of 3 thick layers of balsa and probably has limba outer plies.

White ash is harder than spruce? I sometimes use pine to get some more hardness and weight.

No I don't feel that spruce is too soft. The spruce I use is similar to limba in hardness/weight. I make different blades with cedar outer plies and these are much softer and still play very good.

The outer material on the 3 pictures is spruce. I have been using it a lot lately and use it for my new competition blade aswel. I don't plan any blades with walnut at the moment, but I still have it in stock and used it in the past. It gives a very beautifull look.

The difference in playing properties depend on what type of balsa blade. The difference can range from almost nothing to completely different to what you are used to. I don't know the TSP blade, so can't really say. Normally the blade should feel less head heavy because the weight of the top...
