  1. Player salaries in clubs in EU

How is it that you could earn 110k / year and not have to pay taxes? That sounds totally crazy and I'm very jealous of this ... :)
  2. Amazed by the low weight of the Palio AK74 rubbers... wow.

I had one training evening with the red and yellow version on a fast cedar-carbon-balsa blade and I'm impressed. Speed and spin-wise they are not on the same level as vega pro, but pretty close. The rubbers are harder and feel more dead, but this didn't take much time to adjust to. I'm not...

  4. Balsa blade

I don't have tennis elbow myself but a friend who tests a lot of my blades does. He is constantly searching for ways to make blades lighter. So lighter setups will surely help. I'm allso just a fan of light setups and the lightness of my setup helps alot for my wrist as I use it a lot for...
  5. What's the cheapest euro-style tensor rubber?

You can't really go wrong with any of the Xiom Vega series. Vega europe or vega elite will probably be the hardness you are looking for.

I can't seem to finish my purchase with tormodel shop, due to not being able to ship to Belgium. Anyone else have any luck? I contacted them, but no reply...
  7. Balsa blade

Donic Cayman is made out of 3 thick layers of balsa and probably has limba outer plies.

Thanks for the interest. I have sent you a PM.
  9. Balsa blade

I don't know any commercial models as the ones I tried felt really 'balsa-ish'. But your description fits the blades I make very good. I started making light blades to find a solution for a friend who also has tennis elbow. It really helps when the blade is only 60-70g. I started playing with...

White ash is harder than spruce? I sometimes use pine to get some more hardness and weight.
  11. Handcrafted blades by MDP

Thanks for the compliments! I don't use white ash, but I think it will be quite similar to spruce, no?

A good looking blade for a first try! Are you pleased with how it plays?
  16. Handcrafted blades by MDP

No I don't feel that spruce is too soft. The spruce I use is similar to limba in hardness/weight. I make different blades with cedar outer plies and these are much softer and still play very good.

The outer material on the 3 pictures is spruce. I have been using it a lot lately and use it for my new competition blade aswel. I don't plan any blades with walnut at the moment, but I still have it in stock and used it in the past. It gives a very beautifull look.

It's been a while since I've updated this topic, but I have been very busy with making blades among other things. I haven't gotten around to taking pictures of all of them, but here are some pictures already. I have started specialising in lightweight blades that play like normal blades...
  20. Donic Baracuda 1.8 vs Tenergy 05 FX 1.7

The difference in playing properties depend on what type of balsa blade. The difference can range from almost nothing to completely different to what you are used to. I don't know the TSP blade, so can't really say. Normally the blade should feel less head heavy because the weight of the top...
