  1. Don't ignore ! , viscaria vs spw

I have both and they are great blades. If you are an intermediate player you may prefer SPW because it gives you a bit more feedback and is a tad slower. You can't go wrong with either. I feel like despite the ALC layer Viscaria is more flexible while SPW feels softer, but stiffer.
  2. Upgrade of blade

I'm currently dealing with tennis elbow. I really don't know if the blade matters, but my problem started after a switched from a Viscaria to a SPW. The weight is about the same, but It feels like SPW is stiffer, vibrates a bit more and is balanced more towards the head than Viscaria. I don't...
  3. New Setup. Is It Good?

Is it good? Sure. Is it good for you? Most equipment is good in some ways, but may not be suitable for your game. You got a somewhat classic combination of BTY ALC and Tenergy. It may or may not be a good fit for you, but is a good equipment for sure.
  4. Advice needed for a new racket setup

Looking to close points as soon as possible I'd think about Bluefire M1. Powergrip and MX-P are also great choices, but M1 is so efficient to kill a point.
  5. Fh rubber

Yuri, you can order Tibhar online for about R$150, feel free to PM me asking for some tips. You can also find Bluefire M2 for about the same price and it's not that far from T80, maybe a bit faster, but you can adapt quickly. I'm also a M1 user, but I find it way faster than T80. Bluefire JP...
  6. Recommendations for new blade

The finishing of SPW was flawless, the handles well sanded, better than Yasaka Sweden Extra for sure, but I had problem with the top ply splitting and the blade was sealed, something I didn't expect. I have a BTY Viscaria, have a Yasaka Extra and my main blade at this moment is SPW, so you can...
  7. Recommendations for new blade

They are all good blades, I'm using SPW. About the quality I had the same problem with my pretty new SPW and it was lacquered by TT11, so I believe it's not a specific problem with stiga blades. I didn't have this kind of problem with Yasaka Sweden Extra.
  8. Shoulder Injury and how to cope with it?

I had this problem about a month after returning to play table tennis. I was not rotating my waist and letting my whole body goes through the ball when all out the way I should. I've used some stretches, heat and cold and it improved really quickly just correcting my strokes. Now I'm suffering...
  9. Improve footwork

Watch some Liu Shiwen tapes, she has such a nice footwork. Ryu Seung-Min and Xu Xin are also great examples.
  10. New blade

You can ask your dealer about the weight before ordering it. My SPW is 89g, they had also 86g, 88g, 92g and 93g available.
  11. Daily Table Tennis Chit Chat

Long and tiring session today, my body is exhausted and mind reinvigorated. About three hours of drills with some specific training against LP/SP with our coach. Tennis elbow somewhat under control, I was going back and forth between SPW (all wood head heavy) and DPPC (balanced carbon blade)...
  12. Tennis elbow

Well folks, I did most of the things you recommend me. Had a session using a balanced blade with an anatomic handle, didn't punch the ball, kept a loose grip and used a brace. The results where good, didn't felt strong pain, just some discomfort on my elbow. After the session ice and...
  13. Upgrade from rasant grip

Rasant Grip is a good rubber, it may help if you tell us what you would like to upgrade (speed, spin, control ...).
  14. Rubbers Quick Voting

If you like MX-P, you may like Rasant Powergrip too. It's a tad slower and throws a bit lower.
  15. Tennis elbow

The first time I felt the pain was after over stretching and punching a ball close to the net, now it also hurts on serves, but I'm also using the punch serve since I've switched to this head heavy blade, I'm serving backhand to avoid the pain because I can't make my follow through with pendulum...
  16. Tennis elbow

I'm not thinking about RPB, but using my old Jpen blade while it's hurt. First I'll try to go back for another blade that is more balanced because I didn't had this problem when I was using it and the anatomic handle may help a bit with the grip pressure since I have to use an over grip to...
  17. Tennis elbow

Thanks Skywalker It makes sense since the pain started after I settled down with a head heavy blade as my main bat. I'm sure it is tennis elbow because I had it in the past when I used to play tennis. As a former penholder I'm thinking about using my old blade for a while since it's a lot...
  18. Daily Table Tennis Chit Chat

Rakza and tenergy definitely don't share the same touch. About Powerwood I don't find it a really a flex blade, it feels a bit stiff and soft. I have a great time looping with this blade and I like it better flat hitting and blocking than more flexible blades. Since I'm using one most of the...
  19. Blade advice please!

Airoc is technically right.I mean Rasant Grip is soft for an offensive/attacking racket. Most guys will find it mostly suited to BH because it's technically more a mid-fast speed mid hardness rubber. I don't know how many degrees has Powergrip, but it's touch feels a bit softer than MX-P and M1...
  20. Blade advice please!

You can ask your dealer about a blade with specific weight. Grip and Beat are both soft rubbers. I've tried Grip and I found it too slow and soft for my forehand being myself an offensive player. I really like Rasant Powergrip though, a bit harder, way faster and has great grip just like Rasant...
