  1. Treiber Z rubbers

Not inactive, just been out of the country on vacation for a week. To further answer your questions... I went through a phase where I preferred catapult spin rubbers like T05, r47 and Airoc S. Those rubbers worked well and felt great on my other ALC and ZLC blades. For some reason, I'm assuming...
  2. Help me with a new blade please

The Violin fits your description perfectly. Want more speed for the loop drive? Get an Acoustic.
  3. What are the top all wood blades?

There's too much variation to give a definite answer of 5 ply vs 7 ply. If you can narrow down some particular blades, this forum has some of the most wholesome equipment reviews I've found. You didn't state if you were a high spin oriented offensive player or prefer to hit hard, that would...
  4. Maze Blade required

Lightzy is correct. Your best bet it to get a Freitas ALC. It'll be difficult to find a decent shape Maze. I have been using the Freitas off and on for over a year. I keep coming back to it and have decided to stick to it for the 2018 season. That says a lot after all the blades I've tried. My...
  5. What glue do you use?

I've been using Tear Mender lately.
  6. Differences between Butterfly ALC blades?

I can speak for Freitas and Boll versions. The outer ply. Freitas limbs outer feels woodier on contact and the blade has some flex. Boll ALC koto feels soft, but doesn't flex much. For me, Boll was easier to control in a loop to loop rally. Boll also was better to block with. Freitas seemed...
  7. Best rubbers for Viscaria?

I'm also looking for rubbers to place on a Viscaria. My dilemma is that I have a tournament next month, my blk sheet of T05 has a rubber chunk missing that could be considered distracting to my opponents and T05 is out of stock till at least March. I don't really have time to conform to a new...
  8. All wood or composite?

Personally, I have used MX-P with both all wood and composite. So the answer is BOTH. More specifically, I found MX-P to play better over a blade with moderate flex.
  9. Recommendations for softer OFF blades vs. Viscaria

I have both Freitas and Viscaria . Freitas is not softer in feeling. Viscaria is softer and stiffer. Freitas is harder and more catapult from flex. Andro Treiber Z feels softer than Viscaria with more control.
  10. Andro Treiber Z vs Butterfly Innerforce ZLC

Just to update, I glued some T05 to the Treiber Z and didn’t like the results. True, compared to the Freitas anyway, my blocks were easier to keep short, pushes were nice, served really well and smashes had just enough power,BUT I couldn’t loop worth a flip. They’d go in the net or go long for...
  11. What Rubber I should use with Michael Maze ?

I think you will have trouble landing the ball on the table if you stay close nearly all the time with Tenergy on a Maze ALC. The blade combined with that rubber has tremendous catapult making it difficult to loop with power while close to the table. I’d stick with Mark V for the time being and...
  12. Andro Treiber Z vs Butterfly Innerforce ZLC

I had a three hour session with the Treiber Z using MXP and Omega Pro yesterday. Overall, I think this is the right direction versus using the softer sponged Bluestorm Z3. The feeling was excellent. I got the power I needed away from the table and was able to maintain a gentle touch on softer...
  13. Recommend me DONIC rubber for backhand please

M2 won’t be much softer than the Resanter you are currently using. M3 makes a good bh rubber once the factory tuning wears off. The acuda s2 and s3 felt like lightweight rockets when I used them a few years ago. Z3 feels a little softer on contact compared to M3 and makes a nice sound, but The...
  14. Andro Treiber Z vs Butterfly Innerforce ZLC

Having played with it for a few months, my impressions of the MF ALC were that the outer plies were hard, but the blade still flexed on harder contact. Over all it was very good for looping, not so good for blocking. Currently, I have about 10 hours with the Treiber Z. Of the blades you...
  15. Best feeling allround plus blade

I've never had a reason to take my handle apart, but it does NOT have the hollow feeling you are referring to.
  16. Low backhand power

I increased my BH power in one of two ways depending on ball placement. Firstly, if the ball is wide to my BH side, I twist my torso (right shoulder facing opponent's side) and whip my torso and arm into the ball. I get really good power and spin this way. Secondly, when the ball is coming into...
  17. Treiber Z

5 out of 5 rating for Treiber Z Control, control, control. I found myself missing the Zylon feeling and thought I would give this blade a try after selling my ZJ ZLC and TB ZLF a few months ago. Between those 2, the Treiber plays and feels more like the ZJ ZLC. Treiber Z has a slower gear than...
  18. Treiber Z

Review by 'MindTrip' on item 'Treiber Z'

Control, control, control. I found myself missing the Zylon feeling and thought I would give this blade a try after selling my ZJ ZLC and TB ZLF a few months ago. Between those 2, the Treiber plays and feels more like the ZJ ZLC. Treiber Z has a slower gear than the ZLC offers. This is very...
  19. Thinking about getting this setup, any suggestions

I agree with the Allround Evo suggestion. Having over $1k worth of equipment in my drawer and 10 years of playing experience, I always turned up my nose to cheap blades. That is, till my daughter learned to play. I bought her an Evolution and after some time she agreed to trade me her Evo for a...
  20. Bluestorm Z3

4 out of 5 rating for Bluestorm Z3 I've been a fan of Donic rubber during my playing career. Beginning with Acuda S2/3, then the M2/3 series, I had to give the Z a whirl. I bought a black sheet in Max+ that will replace my shrunken M3 on the forehand. Comparing the physical aspects of the 2...
