1.9 is still thick enough for play a very offensive game Max will just give you more. Of course the thinner the rubber the more control you will have. It sounds like 1.9 will suit your better.

Since you are already familiar with rakza 7 soft(which is a great rubber in my opinion), I'd say use it and focus on your technique. I wouldn't risk experimenting with a new rubber.
