  2. Win a FREE Rubber from Tabletennis11.com!

http://www.tabletennis11.com/other_eng/tibhar-evolution-el-s I'm currently using Tenergy 05 on both sides but would love to try something new with a little less speed on my backhand. I've been looking into possibly changing to the Tibhar Evolution series and this would be a great chance to do...

  4. Dimitrij Ovtcharov happy with the new DHS ABS ball!

Great news! I bought a batch of these after reading Baal's review and they are very impressive, up there with Nittaku Premium for sure. The problem I've had is that nobody want's to try them out over the Xushaofa and Butterfly 40+ balls that are used in the local leagues. Hopefully this...

  6. Looking for a Blade recommendation

This article on ooakforum may be useful - http://ooakforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=43&t=7194 It's a little old but a lot of the classic blades are on there, it's certainly a good reference point!
  7. Looking for a Blade recommendation

I can highly recommend the Avalox P500 and Avalox P700 blades ;) mainly as I have them for sale currently on eBay :) haha. In all honesty, both blades had excellent touch and nice dwell. The P500 is an outstanding 5 ply blade while the P700 is 7 ply and plays a lot faster. I was a big fan of...
  8. Butterfly Asics vs Mizuno Wave Drive Sizing

I'm UK 9 in general trainers (Cons, Adidas, etc...) The last TT shoes I owned were actually Adidas many years ago. I think the rule of thumb with the Mizuno Wave Drives are to go 1/2 a size smaller. I do however have narrow feet, the 8.5 Wave Drive's I own fit my feet perfectly.
  9. Butterfly Asics vs Mizuno Wave Drive Sizing

I bought my Wave Drive's 1/2 a size smaller than my UK size as I read somewhere that Mizuno shoes are slightly larger in size. I'm usually a size 9 but bought 8.5 (27.5 Japn size) and they fit perfectly!! I hope that helps somewhat :)
  10. New Butterfly ALC Blade Designs

The new Boll ALC blades have the green hologram dot and also a new print on the blade face. The 2017 Butterfly catalogue shows the new printed design below. I've seen one of the new ALC blades with this design and the green dot. Here's a link to the catalogue also if anyone is interested -...
  11. Sides of the blade Timo Boll Spirit

I own / used to own a Nittaku Magic solution blade from late 90's, I lent it to a friend of mine and have been trying to get it back off him for the past month or so. That blade had different outer veneers for forehand and backhand.
  12. 10 years out of the game - Equipment?

Top advise, thanks Carl. Do you happen to know how the P700 and Boll ALC compare in terms of speed?
  13. Nittaku Acoustic speed comparisons

Thanks for the replies, been very helpful :) Considering the price (which I hadn't initially noticed how expensive it was) I couldn't justify buying it new to try out
  14. 10 years out of the game - Equipment?

I've been extremely happy with my T05 purchase, still can't believe how well they play without having to constantly speed glue like the old days. I could have possibly gone for 05FX on the backhand for that extra bit of control but that's something I may look into when I replace the rubbers down...
  15. Nittaku Acoustic speed comparisons

I'm trying to find out what sort of speed the Nittaku Acoustic blade has. From reading many forum posts and also checking out table tennis db there seems to be mixed views to what sort of speed this blade is. I've come across comments mentioning it's more of an Allround + when others say...
  16. Slower Clipper alternatives

Avalox P700 - 7 ply blade and is commonly compared to the Clipper, not sure if it's a slower alternative. http://www.tabletennisdb.com/blade/avalox-p700.html Avalox P500 - 5 ply blade. A little less speed, more control. Suited to looping with good dwell. May suite your requirements...
  17. 10 years out of the game - Equipment?

After my Tenergy 05 purchase (which are still amazing to play with) I've decided upon buying a new blade. In fact I've bought a couple of blades to try out, I'll no doubt sell the one that I favour least. My old Timo Boll Forte is OK but not the greatest. Seen as I'm going to be gluing my...
  18. What handle type do you use?

Going through the replies in this thread, it appears flared handles are the most popular. I've also just bought my first flared handled blade, a Avalox P700! I've read some great things and the price was good. After a long period of time out of the game I'm finding my feet again and trying out...
