  1. Photino Light Replacement?

Looks cool. Where is the best place to buy it?
  2. Photino Light Replacement?

So I've had this blade for a while and recently switched back to it after using the Waldner Senso Carbon and Nittaku Acoustic for the past year. It feels amazing, but it's very worn since I've had it since like 2013. It's the only blade I've used that feels amazing with unboosted chinese rubber...
  3. Ideal parts of the paddle to hit the ball for every stroke?

I want to know if there is a complete list of where you should hit the ball depending for FH/BH loops, drives, smashes, flicks, pushes etc. Does where you hit the ball change depending on the type of spin you are receiving? I want to know!
  4. What are some habits I should look for in my opponents?

Thanks for the reply! I have a collegiate tournament coming up in a month or so and there isn't much footage of the players I would play against unfortunately. I was thinking more about the most important things I should look out for regardless of who I play.
  5. What are some habits I should look for in my opponents?

So a little background: I recently came back to table tennis after a 2 month break. During that time, I got really good at a fighting game called Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. In competitive play, a big part of the game is to notice your opponents habits and keeping track of them so you can make...
  6. Waldner Senso Carbon JO Shape

4 out of 5 rating for Waldner Senso Carbon This blade is plenty spinny and feels really good. If I relax, my banana flicks and forehand loops feel easy to do and effortless. Unfortunately I was so relaxed and paid complete attention to the game that I didn't notice my partner suddenly lost the...
  7. Waldner Senso Carbon

Review by 'Gerald Finch' on item 'Waldner Senso Carbon'

This blade is plenty spinny and feels really good. If I relax, my banana flicks and forehand loops feel easy to do and effortless. Unfortunately I was so relaxed and paid complete attention to the game that I didn't notice my partner suddenly lost the ability to get out of the way. So my blade...

  11. Nittaku small handle help

I second getting the straight version. My friend has a flared acoustic and it felt too small, and I didn't want the extra weight of the large handle, so I got the ST. It's perfect for me.
  12. Nittaku acoustic blade - any good?

Which acoustic is faster? Inner or outer?
  13. Acoustic + ?

Tenergy or MXP should be fine. The benefit of the acoustic is good speed AND control with fast rubbers.
  14. Service grip conflicts with my FH/BH loop grip

The problem I have with using the pendulum serve in tournaments is my hand get's too sweaty to give quality spin so I hold back and give weak serves. I usually do a "samsonov" style serve, hook serve, or tomahawk serve instead because of this...
  15. Nittaku acoustic blade - any good?

Regarding the small handle, the flared version seemed a little thin for me, but the straight version was perfect. I didn't want the large handle version because I didn't want my paddle to be too heavy.
  16. Thoughts on rubbers both FH and BH

Do you know how T05H compares to Vega Pro?
  17. Xiom Vega Tour Review

I'm considering trying the Tour because I'm not very happy with Vega Pro on fast brush loops. It works fine, but not ideal, but the way the Tour's brush loops are described makes it very tempting to try. Can someone maybe record a variety of loops (slow loops, loop kills, sidespin hooks etc) and...
  18. Thoughts on rubbers both FH and BH

Vega Pro short game is fine. I think you just need to polish that part of your game a bit more with a lot of practice.
  19. Doubles - Strategy and Tactics

Basically this. Also shots like the strawberry flick can be particularly effective to catch people off guard if the opponent's team mate is in the way of the ball. Same thing with blocking the ball in another direction to catch people off guard rather than power looping.
  20. Xiom Vega japan + DHS Skyline 3-60 + Tibhar V2

In my experience 3-60 is better for controlled loops and flicks rather than blocking. I'd recommend looking at rubbers with harder sponges. Vega Japan seems like a fine choice, though I'd prefer Vega Pro for spin shots.
