IMO, player height has a little bit to do with this. I am 6' and I find that when playing close to the table I need to have a little bit wider stance just to be at a better height to meet the ball.

Based on the diagram and the fact that it looks like it will do underspin balls without flipping upside down, I would say it is a two wheel robot. Another question would be the quality of the ball coming out.

Yeah, the feature list at that price point sounds like a winner. If they can keep the price even close to $1K and make it reliable it should do really well. It will have primary features that will compare to the Newgy 3050XL and the Amicus/PowerPong robots, but cost 1/2 as much.

I experienced this same thing with the A40+ ball. I bought a batch of the DoubleFish V40+ and they play a lot like the A40+, but they do not lose their texture like the A40+. I got a bunch from Aliexpress.

Not on the Butterfly ones I have used. I don't use them anymore, but I rinsed them off 6-8 times while I did use them.
