Yesterday was my first training with FX-D. Really nice and easy going rubber. Does not have the power, but its stable AF. I am going to stick with it. For my level its perfect. I am pretty sure I can get "some" power from it, but I enjoy the stability.

yeah, I was purely talking about the VIII Pro version.

I have the EL-D stashed for testing as well, will give it a try... I did use the Joola ACC for a while on the BH, but I am a bit too weak. I mean the performance was good and consistent, but tiring. Worst case scenario I will do the C52.5 + C57.5 next time round.

I glued it on, around May 4th. Played about 9-10 sessions with the rubber on the backhand. 2-3 on the FH. On either side it was completely unstable. Whenever I switched to the Xiom C55 the ball was stable, spinny. Whenever I switched to Pro 8 it was all over the place. I was twiddling every...

I did purchase the Omega Pro 8, o heck, what dissapointment. Cannot play with that rubber. Good for smashing, not much anything else. The boundary between spinning and smashing through the sponge was too thin. Balls always went net or long. I will stay with different rubbers. This one too...
  7. Boosters, what to choose?

Hype is not good enough reason to keep using something. If its too hard for you, get a hybrid.
  8. Boosters, what to choose?

there is this guy, my feelings are quite similar to his. Kailin made the rubber easier to engage, some clickiness and marginal speed benefits. I bought mine from Aliexpress.
  9. Boosters, what to choose?

tested normal Haifu Seemoon (or however its spelled), Kailin, and the Tempo Long. The Kailin my favourite so far. Destroys the rubber the least, lasts decently long, cheapish.

I got the Omega VIII Pro for BH, and Jekyll C55. After Hurricane 3 40 BS the Jekyll feels super dynamic and super soft. I have a bit issue getting used to the Omega VIII, the angle I need contact ball seems to be much more aggressive then I am used to.

Thats why you use the lowest speed setting :p

Dremel on low power is wonderful for this. Takes seconds instead of minutes.
  13. Switching from “learning rubbers”

I mean, the core point is "I am not Max Verstapen". My core point was actually that I prefer Rasanter C53 because I do not have to put as much work, BUT I am NOT making any more speed, power or spin (or whatever other arbitrary metric you want put there). If you want to get more speed or spin...
  14. Switching from “learning rubbers”

I think that whenever you are selecting any kind of gear, you should not look at top line performance, but instead you should look at YOUR bottom performance in a match conditions.
  15. Switching from “learning rubbers”

From my perspective the whole subject is missing the point a bit. I could get about the same ball from C53 and Hurricane 3, the limit was always my body and technique. The main difference was that when I played with H3 my legs would kill me the next day.
  16. How do you pick up (collect) balls from the floor?

When i saw this, thats a broken badminton racket and a piece of potato bag... https://www.instructables.com/Ping-Pong-Ball-Collector-From-Junk/
  17. Switching from “learning rubbers”

Regardless of your level, Combo of Vega Asia + Euro (I would recommend Joola Tronix CMD + ACC, but they discontinued it...), Tibhar EL-D + FX-p, AK47 red and blue. Whatever you can find for good price.
  18. Switching from “learning rubbers”

It's super hard to judge someone playing level without feeling the ball they play. With video you can get a decent idea. If you want a good recomendation, a video would be awesome. You can always blur out your face or something :|
  19. DHS DJ40+ vs RS40+

I ordered pack of DoubleFish wtt balls, dj40+ and rs40+. The RS40 seem soft AF, even in fingers its soft and easily collapsible. Among those 3 double fish are my favourite, and I think they were also the cheapest.
  20. New FH Rubber (Glayzer, Fastarc G1, Omega VII Pro)

This can be easily settled. Maybe one of the forums users have a leftover after cutting of both rubbers and can tear the sponge of and snap a picture.
